To be a pedant I do have to say they offer download codes on popular online selling platforms -- https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=switch+download+codeThe only thing that bothers me about being banned is I can't access the eshop, and as a result I can't even buy a game now digitally even if I wanted to.
We had all those things on the Wii U and it was hacked too.I believe Nintendo is somehow encouraging people to hack their device.
Overpriced games? Lack of basic (free) features like save game management, web browser, youtube, media player (I know one could have those with a decent phone but still!).
The Switch has so much potential and in terms of homebrew it is growing day after day. Let's just give it time.
I bought a second Switch to be able to choose both online & Homebrew and haven't touch my "legit" switch in ages! The only reason I'm keeping it is for Pokemon and Smash but when N start charging next month it will be hard to justify paying for it.
At some point I am just going to buy a second Switch and that will be my "legit" one for games I want to play online.
Probably when Smash releases.
I would just wait it out another half a year. Even banned units will go up in price when the hardware revised units go on sale.
Don't mean that as a bad thing but gonna ask you in a couple of months if you still aren't. Wondering how long it would take or if you can stay unbanned that way1.) I play my legit cart copy of Splatoon 2 in OFW.
2.) I play my pirated NSP and XCI in CFW offline in Airplane Mode.
3.) I only update my legit games in OFW. (I do cart game updates with the game cart inserted, as an extra precaution)
4.) I only update my pirated games with NSP update files, offline in CFW.
5.) I never launch a pirated game in OFW.
6.) I never update a pirated game online in OFW or CFW.
7.) If I don't remember if I'm in OFW or CFW, I open the Album first before launching anything.
8.) I have parental controls turned on, so I can't "accidentally" open any games (Pirated, or legit) without a pin first as an added precaution (as well as an anti-theft measure in case my Switch is ever stolen).
I've had my SX Pro since early July, and no ban yet because I follow these 8 rules strictly, and always with caution.
I don't really know, but If my error logs are the only thing that give me away, then I feel pretty safe for right now.Don't mean that as a bad thing but gonna ask you in a couple of months if you still aren't. Wondering how long it would take or if you can stay unbanned that way
