Hacking Question SXOS supports exfat, but do we need exfat update to use it?

I tried to do it without the exfat update and it can't find the boot.bin which means it can't read the card so yes, like @Harvin26 said you definitely need it.

I couldn't seem to get this to work. followed ''How to add exFAT support (MicroSDXC) on Nintendo Switch without updating'' the second method but cant launch ChoiDujourNX through homebrew menu ( holding r down but doesn't launch anything) or hekate. Would I be better to try the update method as i plan to do this eventually?

Wait. Of course you need to install it from a FAT32 card. Otherwise you can't use homebrew. Get a firmware with the exFAT update, put it on SD, launch ChoiDujourNX and chose exFAT while installing.
