Those are issues for the 0.7 release.

As you see, most relates to fusee, the bootloader, and these functions were implemented in hekate.

This means other parts of atmosphere, including loader, pm, sm, layered fs, etc... (eg stratosphere), and exosphere are ready for a release already.

(and using latest sdfules = same result)

At this point, Hekate makes for a much better bootloader than Fusee because at least the former can be used to load CFWs other than Atmosphere.
Actually that is not necessarily true. Atmo has a chainloader integrated (idk if it'll be included at first). fusee primary may fit into more device than hekate, but that's not a problem anymore for hekate cause of modules.
they ain't fixing 4 issues in 3 days
1 issue is actually a major bug (powering on the ccplex). The kernel/firm patching: already done for kernel, kip patching/replacing to come.
Then cleaning up and creating a wiki isn't really difficult.
Also see my comment above.

Not sure, man.
Release date says end of August, and we only have 3 more days until August ends.
This is why you don't give release dates when it comes to stuff like this :^}
He didn't give a specific release date. August was merely his "best estimate". Any estimate should be taken with a grain of salt. It could be released within the next three days or within the next three weeks. Either way, it's done when it's done and people will use it regardless of when it's done.

Add to that: the actual release date after the famous 15 june was simply "summer".

Right so my point still stands as there are other features that Hekate has that Fusee will not, at least at launch.

If you follow the discord they had it fully booting start to finish. They're just squishing final bugs and cleaning things up. It's not really an issue is it. Let's see what the coming week brings but yeah - happy days. Nearly there. The super donor of all other CFWs will finally see its own framework bare fruit.

I used ELFs in the past but dunno if this ELF that SciresM said is the same but it seems yes.

Thank you.

The Twitter post goes on to talk about the size of the elf compared to what is really game data. I am going to assume the elf here has a good chunk of debug info, at least from what the Twitter post goes on to say. So I'm going to say that the elf files here that he is talking about contain object code.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

    nvm it does support mine
