Try ourloader this way:
-boot mocha to desktop
-lauch hombrew channel previously installed to desktop
-launch ourloader

Or just follow OP replacing

Start your Wii U in mocha (as wupserver is always running in background with mocha)

Beeing careful you'll be good to go to run most of out of region disks.

@godreborn Sic... he wants to run wiiu NTSC disk on a Pal Wii U, so this thread is the best way around

the thing is, i have CDs i bought a ton of Wii U Cds online from USA because i thought alright. since i made a PAL Wii U play USA wii games i shouldn't worry as ourloader will play the Wii U games.. but it did not

when you say boot mocha to the desktop are you still referring to the mocha in the homebrew launcher? because i can only load it from there.

And by the way, using haxchi and mocha together is a mistake as there both doing the same thing.
You should use onr or the other, not both.

sorry. I#m a bit of a noob and the highlight of my success was getting to play USA wii games on a pal Wii U

fair enough. i will remove mocha and use Haxchi alone. but how exactly can i use Haxchi when it doesn't open anymore it starts the music starts and it just goes blank.

Nop, I meant from webbrowser from quickstart loading loadiine.ovh mocha launcher.
But, because I never used haxchi and because you may use both, I'll say run mocha and wupserver should be running on your wiiu.

i have a Haxchi cold boot which starts the homebrew launcher in the Wii U homepage fine as i did it in july 2018 using a superb method which installed everything magically into the Wii U and i don't really need to use the loadiine.ovh in fact i only had to do it once in my life to get things going. i want to actually open haxchi straight from my wii u menu.

what I mentioned is just a possibility. I'm not sure if regionhax will fix this, so it's an alternative.

Ok OT. Just run mocha anyway and wup server will run on your wiiu so you can follow OP forgetting paragraph about fw.img.

haxchi and mocha won't give you straigh out of region wii disc playing, regionhax will.

I installed this a long time ago, but I've never really had a need for it. there are a lot of problems with uninstalling it like apps no longer working or the wii u disc and wii channels disappearing if the NNiD is deleted. I just left it since I don't plan on deleting mine. I did make a backup of the sys_prod.xml though. I'd strongly urge he do the same in case something happens, 'cause I've heard of some who've edited it back screwing up the system.

btw, there's no need to use wup server since we have ftpii u everywhere.

i recently tried this out to get a EU game working on my US wii u, but instead of putting in 119 like i should have, i put in 4 for europe. now that my console is set to play software from the EU i can't launch any games, and furthermore, i can't launch my browser to change the values again nor can i factory reset my wii u because BOTH are region locked apparently and give me an error upon trying to use them... i wanted to know if there was any way around fixing this issue or is my wii u just stuck like this now?

haxchi or are you launching via the browser? it sounds like the latter.

that's a tough one. off the bat, I can't think of anything. if there was a way to transfer a meta.xml to the browser, that might do the trick, but the problem is obviously you'd need to ftp. another option is wup server, but you'd need access to cfw. that allows ftp, very slow ftp, to be possible from the home menu. in either case, something needs to be launched beforehand, so your system may be toast.

ah yeah that's what i feared. i'll keep looking around for a bit but i'm probably stuck unless i can find some lesser known method.. i was considering talking to nintendo to see if i could maybe send it in for a factory reset but even if i could do that i'm not sure if that would fix the fact that the region was modified. if the system really is done for i guess that's all i can really do, i appreciated the suggestions either way! so thank you for responding :>
