The 2D Metroidvania game 'Hollow Knight' is going to be released on physical media in Spring 2019. The announcement comes via Twitter, along with a trailer detailing features of the game. It was released in June for the Switch, but this will be the games debut on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

This is good news. I always go physical when I can, and I don't own this game yet. I guess which platform I get it on will depend on whether or not I have a Switch by the time it comes out.

Is this game that good? I mean how good is it?
I'm not into 2D games that much as I played tons of them when I was a child.

If you enjoy Metroidvania genre, you will love this game. Be warned it is quite challenging and even if you do like Metroidvania genre, it is not for everyone. Watch some gameplay footage and you can decide for yourself.

I personally loved the game and thought it was well worth the $20. Would have spent $30 or $40 for the content it gives personally, but not knowing what I was getting, $20 was the perfect price for it.

Guess ill have to buy this game a second time, honestly the best metroidvania I’ve ever played.

Has anybody playing the Switch version noticed any performance issues?
Some of the animations don’t update at 60fps as they’re hand drawn so it may look like the game is running at a lower FPS. But no real FPS drops that I’ve seen.
