Nintendo - Gamescom trailers roundup

IMG_0498.JPG

Gamescom is happening over in Germany, and news is out in full stride, with new reveals, announcements, and trailers at every turn. Nintendo is no different, offering a host of new videos of upcoming games for fans to watch and get excited for.

First up is a collection of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate trailers that show gameplay for Dark Samus, Chrom, and King K. Rool.

If you're looking for something a little different, a new teaser was uploaded for the Switch-exclusive DAEMON X MACHINA.

A release date was also given for the 3DS remake of Luigi's Mansion, which will be out on October 11.
Finally, the last video for day 1 of the conference is a roster reveal for Mario Tennis: Aces. Diddy Kong joins as the latest playable character, and will be available this September.

I expected some new game announcements seeing E3 was really lackluster but still not much news regarding new titles. Seems it's all about the indies these days. If they don't turn around ship fast it is going to be another Wii U fiasco with a big announcement every 10 - 18 months

I don't care about smash, so the E3 was so annoying to me.
Machina feels like ZOE, good to have something new on the switch.
And I also don't care about mario tennis, always the same game, like smash, just on new consoles.

not a lot to see this first day.

I think it's time to stop caring about E3 and Gamescom when it comes to Nintendo, they'd obviously rather just have their own lacklustre directs that fail to excite. I'd love to be proven wrong in time.

I'm not to sure if there is anything in the pipeline that is from Nintendo that is mildly interesting and Smash does not do it for me either.
Old tales seems to be the best thing up this year.

Didn't expect much of anything tbh.
Nice to see some Dark Samus. I wish I didn't hate playing as her because i love the look for Dark Samus.

Daemon x Machina looks damn near identical to Armored Core, which is pretty cool. Hope it plays similar too. I'd love an Armored Core on Switch.

Yikes, talk about a horrible turnout. Would have hoped for something at least half as good as e3. Despite it being a mostly single game focused showing it at least had a few new game anouncments.

Did I miss the hate for breath of the wild when they had a focus on that the one e3? Seems like smash is getting a little bit of flack for being the focus despite recent e3's each fallowing a specific release that's coming just like this one. They kinda have to push the game as it seems like it's the next big online game they will have so they need it to help push the online subscription......

I think Nintendo's problem is that they're trying too hard to get everyone aboard Smash Ultimate, when in reality, most people/gamers know about smash, and those that don't care already, still won't care.

When I try to show new people smash they always complain that their character becomes too small when the map zooms out, or that they have no idea where their character is. It can be a very confusing experience even if they're used to playing games.

This was not really a problem back in smash 64 days since the characters were a lot bigger and took up more of the screen.

This is what I consider the main issue when trying to convince new people about smash.

Maybe they could implement a slider to adjust proportional character size during a match?

Either that or people have to get bigger screens.

Jesus-fucking-christ, Nintendo.
Enough with the fucking Smash trailers and info.
ENOUGH!

We know it's coming, we know it has everyone and their grandma as fighters, we don't need anything more about it.
Give us something new ffs.
All the months after E3 have been nothing but Smash, I think we had enough of it, let something else shine already.

Still nothing new for Yoshi, Bayonetta 3, or Metroid Prime 4?

Still milking the Smash hype train?

L. A. M. E.
You know what's funny?
That Reggie himself said that they didn't show anything else in the E3 because they don't like to tease fans.
But they didn't have a problem teasing us with Metroid Prime 4, Yoshi and Bayonetta when those are surely due to 2019.
Hypocrites pieces of shit.

Everything's Smash since post-E3, enough is enough ffs.
Smash is such an overrated franchise, I don't know why people get so hyped about when it's basically the same shit but adding a couple characters/stages here and there, even so when you compare it to Sm4sh (which is the obvious base for this, simply re-adding the other characters).

Be creative, Nintendo, that's what you're known for, stop milking Smash and get on to actual interesting stuff.
If I see another Smash Direct I will DDoS their servers like crazy xD
