A user reported a problem in "top gear 3000" and there certainly is.

It consists of distortion of images in the cars and also in some things of the scenario, this did not happen in 4.3.7

On the other hand, the filter option "sharp" and "soft" does not have the same effect as in "vbagx", maybe we have to take other values? The idea is to obtain a sharper and brighter image.

As an info, in "nintendont" a change was made in the video mode and it was named "deflicker", in fact a big change of sharpness was noticed when deactivating that option.

https://github.com/FIX94/Nintendont/issues/171

Thank you!

I played through Yoshi´s Island, the game works great in the latest beta. There is some Slowdown, but the Super FX Overclock feature set to 40mhz fixes this!

NTSC TV, NTSC Wii, and NTSC ROM? Or any PAL in there?

What do you mean by blockage?
- did the Wii just freeze and you couldn't exit the game?
- did you get a black screen and a STACK DUMP?
- did the game stop working but you could get back to the menu?
- or what?

If it's the same thing that happened to me, it was the Wii freezing entirely. No stack dump, couldn't get back to the menu, and has happened on two different games so far. All NTSC stuff.

Okay, sounds good. Can you try to provide some reproducible steps? eg: if I leave it on the intro music for Zelda for 10 minutes will it always crash? Or at a particular point in Zelda, can I resume from a snapshot, wait 10 minutes, and then it crashes?

I haven't been able to figure out a way to reproduce it. It happens at seemingly random. Sometimes I can go for hours without issue.

I was able to check the blockade in zelda after 30 minutes of play, it happened simply by walking on the map.
The console is completely blocked, with the fixed image, sound with permanent beep, there was no more to do than turn off the console with the power button permanently.

Here's a beta with 48khz audio which should fix the tinny sound issue. No idea if it'll fix the 30 minute crashes.

When the game crashes, are you running on Auto, 480p, 480i, or 240p?

240p for me, ie. original for the display mode. I started getting crashes in the 5th beta (and I did mention getting crashes in the previous thread), but I dunno if that's where the issue causing it was introduced, or if it existed in earlier betas but simply didn't happen before since I didn't play on those versions as much.

Time before crashing is fairly inconsistent, once I had it in like 10 minutes, another was over an hour.

Here's a beta with 48khz audio which should fix the tinny sound issue. No idea if it'll fix the 30 minute crashes.

I made a quick test and noticed that the problem of the audio menu <-> game was solved.

However, the problem of audio cracking now happens more frequent (every 20 to 30 seconds approx.), Tested in zelda alttp.

I still do not play enough to say that the problem of the emulator crash was solved.

Thank you for your perseverance to create a better emulator. :)

So for me with the last beta, no audio cracking and in addition to an hour of Zelda 3 no crashes :) I continue the test (after finishing Breath of the Wild it feels good to go back to the sources ^^)

I played for a bit with the latest beta as well, everything seemed fine with ALttP randomizer so far. I didn't notice any audio issues, but I don't think I'm particularly sensitive to them. Or maybe I just don't notice them as much because I don't have a high quality sound setup. Will have to do some more testing with some other games though.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Using turbo functionality kills all sound. I understand that it was supposed to mute the sound while it was active, but it's still muted when it returns to normal speed. This happens with every game I've tested.

The problem of sound is a small distortion that lasts 1 second and occurs frequently (every 20 to 30 seconds), this is more frequent than in version 4.3.7 but the sound problem when opening the "super mario rpg" menu and "chrono trigger" is also solved in this beta.

With respect to the sound that disappears when using the turbo mode, it returns if the right stick moves very slightly.

I still can not test in depth the latest beta but the problem described at the beginning is a fact.

But apparently, according to the comments above, the emulator is no longer blocked.

UPDATE:
I played zelda alttp about 3 minutes and the emulator was locked (in the same way as before)
Before I started playing, I checked the video options.

I just want to say thanks for all your work, I play this emulator frequently on vwii, and really I'm thankfull for all your work.

I noticed some like speed improves, I remember how in dkc or supermario world when run some slowdowns I'll test how much this version has improved, Thank you.
