It’s the red rcmjig. Pretty nice.
The dongle itself looks “homemade” but tried it now and works fine.
Much easier than plugging into a computer.

I’m not too sure at this point whether it charges through usb c or the normal usb.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I also have this jig.
Which is perfect

The one that came with this dongle is on par with the one above in terms of quality. Although I prefer the one above because it’s easier to slide in and out.

Erm £5 no thanks what a ripp off
also this is the same but in hong kong

Quick review or this dongle (op's one, not the one on this page) : high quality jig, dongle isn't the sexiest but seems robust with well made solder points. Injection works great and fast using the ctaer boot.dat method. Low Price for a finished product.
Very satisfied.

Could you link me the method? What's the default boot.dat included?

another way that we found on EOL forum (spanish forum) where some members that already the payload and seems to be the best choice, is using the CTCcaer converter (that makes any payload.bin file to Boot.dat file) put that on the SD card and use the SXOS payload (that is the default payload that is in the dongle when the chinese sent it)..

that way making new payloads are so easy only use CTCcer converter from his github. with your .bin file...so easy....

https://gist.github.com/CTCaer/13c02c05daec9e674ba00ce5ac35f5be

for easy use you can edit line 31 and change the name to shorter one i put ReiNX.bin or Hekate32 and is easy to use...
you need to rename the payload that you wanna to convert to ReiNX.bin or Hekate32.bin but if you did not change the name you have to rename any payload to hekate_ctcaer_3.2.bin or conversor will not work...

it will create a boot.dat with a size similar to the payload.bin.
Copy on the SD card...
and run the dongle, and start like if it were SXOS more easy.

I guess but that guy has no sales history and might be waiting 30-40 days for it.
I rather pay a couple of quid more and get it straight away.

Each to their own though.

Just build your own, just finished building mine for $15(CAD). Runs off a CR2032 and has an on/off switch, excluding my crap soldering skills it turned out very nicely and works great for launching SX for me. Parts took 4 days to arrive in Canada vs the 1-2 months these Chinese things will take

How much would you charge to build me one? :D

Where did you source your parts for $15 CAD?

Mouser.ca shipping was $8 but parts are $15. Showed up in 4 days with no customs

Haha if i got enough interest I would look at it, issue is there is another $8 shipping on top of the $15 in parts. I'm on vacation until the end of next week but if I get some interest from more people In Canada (and maybe the states) I'll look at look at doing a bulk order so shipping can be split up between a few orders

I have bought the same parts as you did. Which files are you using for your build?

hi guys in preperation for my dongle i decided to try to make the sigpatch_payload.bin (hekate3.2 with sigpatches) compatible with it
i've followed this tutorial:
make your own payload and convert it to uf2 (to copy directly to the dongle).
Steps:
1st convert the payload that we want in .h (with the script that happens that works).
2nd copy the payload (reinx.h) to the build folder
3rd use the build that starts arduine IDE (sketch)
4th use the options to select the payload that we want .. (// descativa the option, you must only have 1 of the 4 activated, the one you want to create)
#include "TXOS.h"
// # include "rajnx_ipl072.h"
// # include "hekate_ctcaer_32.h"
// # include "ReiNX.h"
5th compile, and have a path alternative options txt preferences. (This creates the folder where we tell it and from there we can take the compilation in both .bin and .h the two forms work well) ..
6º take the files build.ino.bin or build.ino.hex and copy them in a folder with the converter to uf2 to convert to uf2
(the conversion script to uf2 is in the gucubub of euclala)
For the bin use:
uf2conv .py -c -o ReiNX.uf2 build.ino.bin
For the hex:
uf2conv.py -c -o ReiNXhex.uf2 build.ino.hex
and vuala, we already have the uf2 ready to send to the dongle ...
load UF2 in the dongle:
1º connect dongle to the pc.
2º press twice the button res
3º Appears a usb unit in the pc.
4th copies the file uf2 (of the payload you want to use) in that unit.
5º he will only install the uf2 file, creating the three files he uses (current.uf2, index.html and infor_uf2.txt) and deleting the uf2 that you just installed, the unit will be dismantled by you and ready to use.

here
is the resulting uf2 file, feel free to try it and report if it works! i'm gonny try it as soon as i get my dongle.

thats the guide that i done, it only 1 of the 3 methods that we have, as i see you translate it with google automatic translator, and it makes some mistakes on it, and has no sense in english...

I don't speak Spanish so I translated it, it makes enough sense to recreate the steps I think. I just wanted to share an precompiled hekate payload with sigpatches because I didn't found it anywhere and that's what I'm going to use it for. That's all

you can do it with diferent ways...
oficially, taking the uf2 file from euclala github..
conecting the dongle on pc, and pushing two times the button, will appear a new usb drive, and only have to copy the uf2 file there...

But that depends on the euclala converting payloads to this board..and can do some mistakes as releases of payloads..

another way that we found on EOL forum (spanish forum) where some members that already the payload and seems to be the best choice, is using the CTCcaer converter (that makes any payload.bin file to Boot.dat file) put that on the SD card and use the SXOS payload (that is the default payload that is in the dongle when the chinese sent it)..

that way making new payloads are so easy only use CTCcer converter from his github. with your .bin file...so easy....

So could you put a little pinhole in that outer case so you could use a paperclip or something to hit the reset button?

I ordered one last week, won't see it for several weeks, I have had an SX Pro on order since late may and still zippo...got tired of waiting so bought a SX license a few weeks back (I wonder how many of us did that because of their slow ass production), ordered the same dongle shown in the OP. Did anyone figure out if it charges on A or C side or both?

Thanks for the link to their github....how did you find that, was it on the sheet that came with the dongle?

Let us know if it works when you get to test it.....also can you link the original Spanish site where you found the tut? I am guessing they had the .py scripts mentioned in the steps?

You know how this goes in a few weeks someone will make a gui for the scripts and we can just point and click at a payload.bin and have a .uf2
