You don't have to update for exFAT. If you do want to update, you can do both at the same time using ChoiDujourNX.

Hi Raj, today one of my friends tried to connect to Internet when I went out. Luckily he couldn't.

What do you think for an option to disable wifi from NS? That way we can avoid kinds and friends to connect to Internet and ban.

Hi!
New to the Switch scene. Using RajNX 072 and can't get NSP to load properly. Using 4nxci for my xci conversion. Tried adding newest tinfoil.nro. Tried my original FW 4.1 and also on 5.1. Have read through this thread without finding the answer.
Keep getting an error when I try to load from the home menu. "The software was closed because an error occurred".
I'm probably missing something basic and still figuring it out.
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Also, thanks for ChoiDuJourNX, solved my exfat problem easily.

Tell your friends that internet access will brick the Switch and they'll have to pay you for it. There's no decisive permanent Wifi disabling at this time.

If there were, I'd use it myself. I'm sure it's been brought up, nothing has been done. Unless it's just a sysmodule / service that needs blocked.

Open it up and disconnect the wifi. Only takes a couple minutes.

Nsps from 4nxci do not currently work with rajnx. I'm not sure if that will be added in the future. Reinx does work with those.

just install 4.1.0 (exFAT) via ChoiDujourNX if you want exFAT and you're on 4.x

my firmware is 5.1.0 is there any easy way to add exfat support. im sorry for my newbie question:shy:, but when i download the hactool gui. seems it only works on x64 based system. just like hacdiskmount. i already have an xci file game to extract the update. thanks in advance..:):)

Just insert an exfat card and let it update officially.

ChoiDujourNX, the homebrew one that runs on the switch. Not the PC version.

He could acknowledge me and say he doesn't have an answer.
Myself and my son are both coders and I was genuinely interested in contributing if his future plans aligned with my own.
I've contributed to many projects over the years under many different pseudonyms but tbh I'm actually bored of a lot of people in the "scene" these days and saw an opportunity for someone who didn't want to have a "pack of tools" and wanted a more solid project.
Believe me, you're wasting your time with this so called Switch scene.
Most of the people and devs here are just a bunch of 10 years old children with over inflated egos spending their time feeding dramas...
I'm pretty sure none of them do know you, where I can clearly remember you from the good old Wii days and everything you've contributed to.
I was part of the WiiFlow team at that time, and I truly wish the Switch scene could be as to what the Wii scene was, with devs from different USBLoaders helping each others bringing new features to their respective loaders.
But I've been lurking this section for a long time now and I can clearly see it will never happen sadly...
GBATemp has become just a giant kindergarten over the years.

PS: yeah, I know I'm OT but I really don't care ;-)

That's an overkill, it doesn't make any sense to update using homebrew and risking a ban when you are already running latest OFW
I think you mean this is the easiest and best way to NOT get banned, considering homebrew and xci have already been used. Upgrading officially online would most likely get you banned, not choidujoirnx.

What are you rambling about?

Nsps from 4nxci do not currently work with rajnx.
Thanks, thought I saw that somewhere in the thread, but no mention of which nsps DO work? Or which xci converter to use?

As above, I'd say use ChoiDuJournx, it worked like a charm for me.

From what I read he has the hacks PC side but he can't run them because of being x64, no mention of homebrew in switch.

I m just pointing that he doesn't need any hack. It s a 30 seconds job that can be done the official way, it would be a different situation on older firmware but he is using latest.

Mind your manners please, don't be so aggressive.

If you haven't ran any CFW or Homebrew, and your Switch is clean on 5.1.0 by normal update -- Update for exfat the normal way.

If you have already started messing around with CFW and whatnot, then download ChoiDujourNX (not ChoiDujour) and put it into your SD:\switch\ folder, then grab the respective update for your console from xbins, using their handy autoxbins program to use their FTP server. After you download what firm you wish to be using, drop it into a folder on your SD Card, then open ChoiDujourNX and navigate to that firmware folder. Select it. On the next screen you'll be asked if you want the exFat version or not; of course, select it.

ChoiDujourNX will also install AutoRCM. If you don't know what that's about, please look it up and study.

After it updates you should be fine.

You will need to download actual nsp backups, not converted ones. The best ways I've found to download them are using Bob's cdnsp gui on the Pc.

EDIT: actually , I just saw that a new version of 4nxci was just released that is supposed to work with rajnx or any other custom firmware. You may want to try reconverting an xci with the newest release and see if that works.
