I don't really agree to it. I'm just forced under duress to say that I do. But that isn't really my point. My point is that I like having cartridges for that reason but hate dealing with them so 100% understand and agree with him. The fact that my worst fear isn't just silly paranoia but actually can happen doesn't change this.

For that, there are digital downloads, which if you dont like cartridge, then you can purchase the digital version instead of the physical C:

Seriously. Cartridges are good in that if something goes wrong and your Nintendo account is screwed up no matter how screwed up it gets you'll still be able to play your games. But they are such a pain to actually deal with. I guess it's not too bad (people say even the worst bans still let you download your games) but I don't like the idea that it's technically possible that they can just cut you off from what you paid for potentially -- however unlikely that actually is.

I get the feeling that if Nintendo goes down this old path of its there way or the high way, it's gonna get them, even if it's a 50 billion dollar company and they have been around since 1889, Sonys new CEO totally went U turn when he replaced Kaz Hirai, who was more open but now they have a draconian ceo back at the helm again saying bs like we are looking into Fortnite cross play, when they are not, how long till Nintendo new CEO starts going down this path, not only will it be bad for consumers but it will be bad for Nintendo, the world's changing, evolving and there still living in a past long forgotten.

I think the only guys who care about the fans is the Zelda producer and Mario producer aka Kazuo, who not only worked on Switch hardware but also some of the Zelda games in the 90s and even those 2 think the higher ups of Nintendo are living in a dead past.

ok, so i tried another dump of fire emblem musou japanese, still got the error : " a93104ed8d2ab3a9906cd9dce32803f9.cmnt.nca is corrupt, error code 0x00236e02"

i thought my xci was maybe corrupted but this a new dump so the issue must be from 4nxci

finally got Tennis World Tour working under the latest release, installs fine with my version of DevMenu and plays without any problems

the only game I'm still unable to convert correctly is that Sonic Mania Plus game, but I think others are having issues with that one too

it converts well, i have no issue during convert. its during install on tinfoil that it doesnt work. did you try to install it ? is it the japanese version of fire emblem or the european / american ?

The tool is converting fine and games are working using the last ReiNX. Is there a way to update those converted .xci (i.e. Cars 3)?

Converted Octopath Traveller to work fine. 4NXCI didn't convert MK8 Deluxe Rev 2 but I expected that since it's a problem with multi-rev games apparently. I tried anyways and I just made a 55 mb nsp

new build is out, v0.9-alpha.5
in this build, 4nxci mixes some water with your xci's acid, as the result, converted xci games are now working on all custom firmwares with current sig patches (including ReiNX, RajNX, Atmosphere + sig patches, etc...)
also there are some enhances in nsp making

Currently known games which don't convert properly:
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (rev001)
Super Mario Odyssey (rev001)
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (rev002)
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (rev001)
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (rev002)
Sonic Mania Plus

Well, Tinfoil still says:

Failed to install NSP!
OpenFileSystemWithId:103: Failed to open file system with id. Error code: 0x00234c02
Done!

It looks like it still requires the hex edited kernel to install or run just as before. Running it without the hex edited kernel produces an error followed by it "detecting corrupt data" just as before. So it still seems to not work on ReiNX just as-is and still requires the hex edited kernel. With the hex edited kernel it will install and run fine. This is still an improvement over running via LayeredFS, but still troublesome for people who don't know how to find/extract and manually edit the kernel themselves (and everyone on < 5.x.)

PriPara (プリパラ　オールアイドルパーフェクトステージ！) title ID 010007F00879E000.

For several versions of 4NXCI now it will install if I use my hex edited FS.kip file (thanks to the person who specified which bytes to change to what) though that might be troublesome for people on 4.x since it needs a different change (unfortunately I accidentally let it burn fuses, so no 4.x downgrade for me. I plan to get a SwitchMe if they ever ship so nevermind on that software hack.)

Honestly just that one. Almost everything else I have an XCI for I found a NSP. This game and its update is pretty much the only thing I couldn't. I have one or two others I didn't particularly care to bother with before that I suppose I could try if you think it would make a difference or if it would help.

if you can please test other games, but don't bother yourself if it's trouble for you for any reason
