I recently got an Xbox 360 slim (just the console, no accessories). But being a teenager I have very little money, so I bought the power supply but didn’t have enough money to buy a controller.
I do have three wireless PS3 controllers, two Wiimotes (each with nunchucks, and one classic controller), a Logitech F710 USB gamepad, an Android tablet, an iPhone (not jailbroken), a raspberry pi, a 3DS (Luma cfw), a PS Vita (Henkaku) and a PC.
Is there an adapter (under £8.00) I could use or an app/program I could use to pair my PC/tablet/phone with my xbox 360?

Not as is in any useful manner. MS locked it down somewhat and only extensive hacks or expensive adapters can do anything.

Take your £8 and visit car boot sales and similar such events and you can probably find one there.

Alternatively you might be able to find a kinect for next to nothing as a lot of those were purchased and never used again.

If you just want to do basic stuff, you can use a universal remote to control the 360. Even a cheap one that comes with a cable box will probably work.
