I'm trying to play Fantasy Life on Citra, I finally got the rom working, but there's not sound and when I try to change the audio device to my speakers, the whole emulator crashes, but only when running Fantasy Life, not when there isn't a game running.

I'm trying to set up the emulator for the first time, thinking that it would be fun to try some of my games in a higher resolution. I downloaded and installed the emulator, and I have a decrypted "Kirby Planet Robobot" game all set up. When I tried to start it, I got an error message saying that I need Mii data.

It gave me a set of directions to dump stuff from my 3DS. However, I still have a NAND backup (as well as a full copy of everything on the SD card when I did it, so that I could just copy/paste everything back and undo everything if needed) from when I installed B9S to my system. The backup isn't in the same layout as the AppData folder for Citra, though. My 3DS is already fully loaded with stuff, and if I'm going to end up having to copy my NAND again, I don't think that I'll have enough room without deleting a large amount of stuff.

I'm fairly certain that the files that Citra is looking for is in the "Nintendo 3DS" folder in my set of backup files. Are my existing backups going to be usable to get Citra working? If so, what files am I going to need to move to what folders to get this working?

Umm might as well follow what the instruction says.
But ofc, it doesn't need to dump the whole content from the NAND. Just some of it.

Although I have all my contents dumped and used for Citra to test out Home Menu and selecing Miis from Mii Maker to games like 3D Land and Miitopia(because I don't like to use temp black mii as a user). Sadly, it doesn't work. Probably missing stuff in the emulator that doesn't read or use a 2nd app at the same time.

I'll be using this for speedrunning once save states are a feature but other than that why would someone use Citra over a 3DS?

- Graphics ! 3DS resolution is 320x240. In Citra you can play even at 4k.
- Normal controller. 3DS buttons and controls are wank compared to normal controller.
- Big Screen. No longer you need to watch tiny tiny screen.
- For games that have local but don't have internet multiplayer you can easily play together with Citra "rooms"
- Normal voice chat via discord or whatever app you use.

Hi guys, where do .tik/.app folders go in Citra? Or how to convert .tik/.app to .cia?
Hmm. Why do you need to convert encrypted roms from Citra to cia?

You can't decrypt installed mods on Citra yet(although I don't know why would you want to dump encrypted roms from Citra to cia when you already have the cia that you use to install for Citra). Braindump, Decrypt9, or GodMode9 is not possible to boot yet.

I am currently installing them in 3ds with fbi but it's taking forever. What is the best way to decrypt these files on pc? the question was how to convert to cia or where do they go in citra? If I cant use the app tik files, how do I turn them to cia?

You can't on Citra at normal means. But not sure if FBI on Citra works and can read the titles that you installed.
Anyways, what are you trying to decrypt?
And all installed apps can be found on
sdmc/Nintendo 3DS/zeros/zeros/title/00040000(game apps)
sdmc/Nintendo 3DS/zeros/zeros/title/0004000c(game update)

Again, im trying to turn a game folder which has the .tik .app and .tmd files in the folder into a .cia to be playable on citra.

Whats the directory on a 3ds for the dlc and once installed on a 3ds, how to output the whole game to .cia?

Depends on how the games are dumped, and they should come in a number of that game folders.

Exp. Like zelda a link between worlds folder number is "000ec400" so dose go inside of the 00040000 folder.
"user\sdmc\Nintendo 3DS\00000000000000000000000000000000\00000000000000000000000000000000\title\00040000"

They should be in folders like, EDIT: Ie, 00040000 -> 000ec400 -> content > ".tik .app and .tmd files"

From the "user" folder in Citra
-------
It's best to to get a basic .cia format and install it though Citra, But the latest builds of Canary Citra dose now support 3ds .3ds encrypted dumps as is.

Citra does not play .CIA files. I mean it does but only for decrypted files like updates or something but not for games.

To play your dumps on citra you need to convert your game via godmode to .3ds file which is unencrypted or cxi file.

So, I have access to Homebrew on my 3DS with Monster Hunter Generations.

I’ve heard of a lengthy way to transfer my data from 3DS Generations to XX on 3DS, but I do not have a Custom Firmwared 3DS nor the means to get one.

How would I transfer my Generations save data to XX on Citra?

JK Save Manager. Download the .3dsx file for Homebrew. Not the .cia.
