Nintendo Direct for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to air on August 8

Basically, the only things that could be announced for smash is online, game modes (story plz) and new chars.

Shitty phone ports are genuine time wasters. Half of which aren't worth investing much time in unless you're that desperate for such a cheap thrill.

jeez... so much complain. Too much Smash? We've only heard about Smash since March. One teaser and one 20 minutes reveal. EVERYTHING else is people talking about leaks of the media coverage being huge (because guess what... it's a very popular game).
It's really not "bad".

Wait and see, Nintendo has had a habit of surprising people during their direct. Nothing says we won't get an announcement related to something else. They could still announce their killer game for the Nintendo Online release.

for all the people upset its just smash, you dont know this yet. it was announced at evo. which is all about smash and fighting games. They probably called it a smash direct to get people at evo hyped for it. Calling it a nintendo direct instead and announcing at evo wouldnt have the same effect. it may be heavily focused on smash again. but dont rule out them talking about something else. if it doesnt happen, another direct will happen shortly after.

normaly game centrict directs only talk about said games, like arms direct,splatoon 2 direct, xenoblades direct, fire emblem games direct and so on.

I'd much rather have a direct related solely to Smash than have one that's 80% Smash and 20% other games. I'm sure the next direct will have non-Smash content.

Honestly feel bad for Sakurai, he pushes himself so much when making these games, he got like mild tendinitis or something in his wrists when making sm4sh IIRC form all the testing he was doing. And now he is doing it all over again and people won't stop bitching about waluigi even after caving into fan demand for Ridley. Really hope he takes a nice long vacation as soon as Smash5 is out.
