@JK_ just wanted to let you know the 2018-7-18 version (but also the first redesigned one from some pages ago) freezes when exporting empty files (such as updated.dat in the amiibo-enabled versions of Animal Crossing, which luckily is the last file in the save)

So I installed the new files and I'm trying to save data for Pokemon Moon and it won't let me. I saw the post about it not being opened or formatted or it being a game that uses extra data but it doesn't seem to be either of these... I tried saving the extra data anyways but when I opened it up on my computer it was pretty much blank and I don't see the files that youtube tutorials are saying I should have...

How come I can no longer see my old saves when I updated? I used FTP and can still find them at JKSV folder but not in the app itself.

I don't know if it's just me but I can't use this homebrew, it resets my console everytime I try running it.

Does this work with homebrew with no CFW (I use Steelhax)? Im running Firmware 11.7 and everytime I press A on Save Data nothing happens, but If I press the extdata one it works.

I am having this same exact problem, and I am also using steelhax. I want to export a Save from my Ultramoon so I can use PKhex.

The JKsavemanager I'm using looks very different from the one I see in videos, and I'm not sure how to export a save on the JKsavemanger I'm using. When I try to click A on the "Save Data" option nothing happens. Let me know if you find a solution, or can anyone help? Thank you in advance!

It doesn't support those entry points yet. Anything named *hax is not going to work right now. I have been working on threading the Switch version's gfx file for faster drawing speed, so I haven't looked into it yet. The code is there, it just doesn't run or work right now.

Hey JK, I've been a super big fan of this save manager for a while, I'm so glad you are back, I hope you continue development on this tool, to this day it is my preferred save manager, but also take care of yourself and take your time.

I have a somewhat weird question that gave me a hard time back before I got cfw, some games, in this case The Battle Cats Pop! whenever I tried to extract the save data with the 3dsx I got an error, far away are the days of just homebrew but I'm kinda curious on what caused that and if it has been fixed?

Edit: welp, I just noticed it's cia only now, still, I'm curious about what limited the 3dsx release back then.

Well guys, I had a whole post written up about how I couldn't get it working for *hax, but by dumb luck I tried targeting some older stuff and was greeted by these instead of a red screen:

dafug_2.png

I'm kind of stumped right now to be honest, but these show my *hax code works. Not 100% sure what's causing it to be so picky.

Sooo I have Virtue's Last Reward, Zero Time Dilemma and Mother 3 and neither of those are showing in the save editor, I refreshed several times with no success...

Other titles like Ace Attorney Trilogy, Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 7 appear perfectly.

And yes, all are installed in the SD card and have progress made

Any idea what is causing this?

You can't use ordinary save editors for GBA VC titles like Mother 3. You'll need to to use GodMode9. See here (under 'Backup GBA VC Saves' and 'Restore GBA VC Saves') for instructions. Note that you'll need to have CFW; if you just use *hax you won't be able to extract/restore GBA VC saves.

As for why some of your titles aren't appearing, I'm not sure. Are you 100% sure that you've refreshed the list in JKSM after installing those games?

the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now

    Interesting lol

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
