I'm playing an old PC game (Ultimate-Spider Man), and after 2 weeks worth of troubleshooting, I've come to the conclusion that my GPU is too new for this game, because the BInk videos in the game are very glitchy for some reason. The in-game graphics itself are completely normal though.

Here is some screenshots of what im talking about: https://imgur.com/a/weDn5uZ

I tried literally everything, i replaced binkw32.dll with a newer version, it didn't work. I tested out a game that does use Bink and it works. I ran the game on a 32-bit virtual machine, it was still glitching but not as much. I viewed the game's .BIK files with RADTools and the files are not corrupt whatsoever and they play normally.
As for miscellaneous stuff, I've tried Compatibility Mode, didn't work. I tried updating my drivers, they're already up to date. I tried downloading a different copy, didn't work. I used USM Widescreen Fix, didn't work. I used 3D-Analyzer, didn't work. I prayed to God, didn't work.

So for any of you Bink experts out there, do you have any idea on what i have to do to fix this problem?

Actually, buggy graphics when not playing (meaning cutscenes, menus, etc.) are VERY common with really old games, but that's only because of how shaders are treated in 16bit games. However, this game isn't really that old, so it shouldn't be having any issues... Try different settings for the graphics, specifically the filtering, V-sync and shaders. Besides that, the only thing I know that fixes buggy graphics of old games is XP mode...

I tried changing the filtering via Radeon Settings
I tried V-sync on and off
There is no shader options but i tried using injectSMAA
And i tried XP mode for both SP2 and SP3

None of those options worked, nor did they make a difference.

I said XP Mode, NOT compatibility mode for XP, just making sure... And what do you mean via Radeon Settings? Leave the GPU's settings at default and only change the ones in-game. Messing with the GPU's general settings is likely to screw things up on other games.

There's no filter options in-game, so i used a profile in Radeon Settings for USM specifically to see if it worked.

And what you mean specifically XP Mode? Do you mean run the game on a Windows XP VM?, because I'll try doing that.

XP Mode is like a Microsoft official VM that runs XP, though it only (officially) runs on Windows 7 (you can get it running on Windows 8+, but you're better off using a full VM at that point). You failed to mention your OS, nor did you give us any other specs, so if you're on Windows 8+ then just use a VM.

What are your specs?

I can't actually find any other people having specific issues with the game on modern systems, beyond the whole Safedisc being disabled in Windows 10 thing, so this is likely an issue with your settings somewhere, not your hardware.

My OS is Windows 10 64-bit with the latest updates.
My specs are: AMD A8-7600 Quad Core 3.10 GHz with Radeon R7 Graphics, 8GB RAM, and a 1TB HDD.

I've seen people with 64-bit Windows 10 running the game on Intel HD 4000, so I'm not sure what makes my computer/game so different.

Not to mention, i played Spider-Man: The Movie, a slighter older game (4 years older than USM) that runs on the exact same engine as USM, yet the cutscenes played just fine. I also played Spider-Man 2001, which also ran the cutscenes fine.

That means it's either your settings, your GPU is faulty/failing or the game itself is corrupted somehow... I tried just now using a R7 265x 2GB and it runs without any issues whatsoever.

I doubt its my GPU, I've ran other games recently that uses Bink like Saints Row: The Third and Knights of the Old Republic. Plus I've seen this one other person who has the exact same issue as i do:

it's pretty unlikely to be a coincidence.

If it is my settings, then what would be these settings that i'd need to change?
