Hacking Looking psvr movies in 3d on 5.05

Hi,

Would like to know if there is a possibility to watch 3d movies on a ps4 with firmware 5.05.

So yes, how to do with a easy tuto may'be? And is is possible to view it like you are in a real movie theater?
Can you also confirm me that youtube and netflix is not possible to use due no access on ps store?

If your ps4 has been on psn previously then you can use apps like netflix/youtube and for 3d movies: littlstar.

However if you're like me and have never been online with your console: these apps do not work.

Hopefully someone who can figure out how to hack it will sort it out. I'm in two minds whether to buy a psvr during the current promotion or not.

Or maybe anyone capable hasn't bothered to look because they haven't got a psvr, or already has the flag set.

With or without a VR, PSN activation is useful for a load of things like standard media player, Netflix, YouTube etc.

I will try take a look soon. Never enough hrs in a day for me

So it seems till to now it will not be possible.

I have one last question i have a ps4 also on the latest firmware and was curious if i can connect the psvr on this one without that it affect the use on my 2 other ps4 on 5.05?

Pretty bummed I can't use my PS VR to play VR movies without the media player app (which requires PSN). Anyone know of a workaround? I'm not gonna lie, there's certain VR movies I'd love to "experience" just to see what they're like.

you can turn on all four of the licenses in the debug settings, then you can play 3d blurays and watch them with the PSVR.
but without previously activating the media player app or littlstar when it was possible, you're out of luck sideloading 3d video files.

Oh. I never even thought of watching 3D movies through the PS VR. How does that look? What's the difference between 3D and VR when you watch them that way?

Most of debug functionality is inaccessible for me

so just to confirm - for those that previously activated the media player app, we can sideload 3d video files and watch correct ? does this work with 3d iso's ?

Use vtx hen 1.6 while on 5.05. You will have all those options.

I cannot use littlestar or media player unfortunately, as I have been completely offline.

It is possible to restore an activated console to a 5.05 console to HEN it, this has been tested and proven, but we need to figure out what needs altering to “hactivate” other consoles....

Does this mean it is possible to backup an activated PSN profile and save games on one PS4 (5.05), and then restore that backup on another PS4 (5.05)? I thought the backup's were specifically tied to the PS4 they came from.

You can restore a back up to any console, you just lose your original data.

Btw since that (16th June) post: remote play, littlstar and media player, youtube and more that support 3D movies are released as NOPSN apps so no need for this activated trick any more

When you say '"lose your original data", do you just mean the new PS4 that you are restoring the backup to will be wiped in the process? So would the profiles and save games still copy over and work on the new PS4 without any problems?
I thought when you made a backup of your PS4 data, it says that it can only be restored on the same PS4, and if you want to move your profiles, etc, to a new PS4 you need to sign in to PSN.
Would we just backup and restore using the official method, or is there a payload that is used instead?

So I wondered how far we are now to watch easy some 3D movies with psVR.
I did install the littlstar app but needs a connection on the net. Any possibility to bypass that?

Or some other app that requires not to much skills or connect to the net?

Just to put it on a USB stick and can watch exist some solutions?
