Team-Xecuter Releases SX OS v1.4

TX Releases Another Update To Their SX OS, with lots of nice improvements in v1.4

We have not heard from TX for a while, but don't worry, they back with nice new update to their SX OS, check out v1.4 below:

SX OS v1.4 Announcement
Good day, loyal users!

While we chip away at many different features for SX OS and additions to our SX hardware family we took a break to prepare an update for SX OS with some exciting new functionality and outstanding bug fixes.

Let's have a look at what's new and fixed in this release:
  • Integrated NSP installer
With our last update we introduced the possibility of installing eShop NSP titles. However, this relied on using external tools and wasn't very user friendly. In this release we bring our own integrated NSP installer as part of our menu system. This is the neatest and easiest way of installing NSP titles, enjoy!
  • Integrated homebrew launcher
Launching homebrew used to be done by launching NX HBMenu by holding R when entering the album. While we kept this possibility (mostly for developers), you can now also launch your favorite homebrew directly from our own menu!
  • IR / motion plus issue fixed
A few games (like 1-2-Switch and Resident Evil) were suffering from freezes when enabling the joycon IR camera or motion controls.
  • Allow unsigned NCA
People asked us if we could get rid of the NCA integrity checks, so we did! Custom NCA files, modified NCA files and repackaged NCA files should all work fine now.
  • Display SX OS version in menu
To better distinguish the different versions of SX OS we introduced a small version number display in our menu.
  • LayeredFS fixes for 4.1.0
There were certain issues with 'LayeredFS' for people on firmware 4.1.0. If you use 'LayeredFS' on that specific firmware there's good news for you: these issues have been identified and fixed!
And that's that for this release. We have quite the backlog of feature requests and todo's on our plate, but trust we'll get there!

its probably a bad dump, dev menu install even if the nsp is not working as it should or it has some corruption as some users have seen, I am going to try that nsp to see if its your dump or what :P

Didnt know devmenu installed it anyway, can run game and play fine :o

Installed a bunch of .nsp's, games, updates or DLC, no problems, except with Xenoblade.

I had a .xci for Xenoblade 2, installed an update and / or DLC for the game and it would freeze during launch. Deleting the .xci and installing the .nsp for the base game resulted in corrupt files and I had to completely delete the game and re-install from .nsp. No problems launching it after that.

Are there some games that CDNSP doesn't have? I'm trying to update the xci version of axiom verge and the title id that CDNSP shows does not correspond with the cart so the update is treated as a new game.
This happens with a couple of games.

did you update your titlekeys.txt?

I was able to get the latest update: Axiom Verge [UPD][0100052004384800][v131072].nsp

Yes, I did update the Title Keys but on the list when I search for Axiom Verge it only shows the title key for the eshop version. The xci version's title ID is 100B1F00660E000.

That titleID you listed doesn't exist lol.

UPDATE:

Ok I finally found it listed on a paste.bin, and I opened the XCI with explorer and there it is too!
0100B1F00660E000

Hmmm, I still don't understand why you cannot download the update NSP and install it.

Why? It's just that nobody has listed it anywhere except that one place on paste.bin.

So what happens when you install the update NSP?

Maybe there's a way to add it manually to CDNSP?

The wrong title ID, installs as a new game.

All that is missing now it’s a easier way to put NSP into the card without rebooting. Memloader still requires a reboot and limited to 5MB/s and FTP is slow as hell even on 5GHz

for the record my wii Ethernet adapter still does work with the switch

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
