I still personally prefer the xci files as they are simply drag and drop. No time installing, no clutter in switch menu (as you load with SX menu that only shows xci instead of EVERY game played ever), the whole multiple SD card point, to save space, you can not only trim them, but can simply move or replace the xci with a different one with no need to uninstall to remove from SD, which then requires another install to play again, plus far FAR less detection rate so far (may change in time), still works with nsp updates and dlc. It is simply just easier and has no downsides... other than the clutter of xci in the root of the SD... which isnt a problem if you name them. The only thing I would like is the not having to reboot to add a game... but even then, new games don't come out hardly often enough to warrant that as much of an issue, and is even further minimized if you have an SX Pro with auto rcm. Rebooting is literally a few seconds. I even find myself preferring that over ftpd.

But then again, it is all preference.

I think about just saying fuck it and getting banned... but then I remember that Sma5h will be coming out in the foreseeable future...

NSP is greater yeah, why? Titan Quest already available, won't release until 5 days from now. Well, I'm playing...

Somewhat agree. I do have 3 128 gb SDcards. I find myself putting update files in the SD card that does not have the game itself but w ftpd like he mentions you don't even need to turn off device. Also it's easy to see what games you have in an SD card using a switch bc it tells you to download it if you don't have it in said SDcard. The only problem is when you're using a computer sdcard reader to load games. Bc you don't know which SD card has what games. So a txt file w game titles in each sdcard is needed.

So if you try to launch it and it doesnt have the SD inside of it it will just prompt to download it?

For me the best thing about NSP is that no one knows you are playing pirated games. With XCI you have to load them through the album icon and the big SXOS logo in the background... it's embarrassing when you are playing on TV with friends asking you what is SXOS?
Nobody but Nintendo, as soon as you go online to update something ! (sorry for the late post)

I installed SXOS the first week it was released, installed Devmenu through LayeredFS, installed countless number of nsp - updated all of them online through Nintendo server... I am still not banned.

It's not greater then xci first you have 3 gb left for a 2 gb nsp you need 4 gb to install with xci 2gb you put on micro no problem if you can make install on to micro from pc then it be greater then xci xci won nsp is second place because you need space to install.

So does nsp updates and dlc work with loading xci games?

Yes because all DLC and updates are stored in the same place (on the Switch)

But can’t you chose to install nsp onto the sdcard? What happens then?

Update: answered on another thread - nsp updates/dlc can be installed to either nand or sdcard (but won’t be available if sdcard not inserted if installed to sdcard- I guess that’s obvious).
