So I wanted to write this for everyone who finds themselves with SX OS - and regretting their possible move on being on it.

This guide will only assume the following:
  • you never updated your games with SX OS (backups)
  • you never went online on a backup with SX OS
  • You did not use LayeredFS.
If you did any of the above, you can still try this guide...just assume a ban is coming your way sooner or later.

If the 3 above don't apply to you - you may stand SOMEwhat of a chance. How much of a chance? Who knows. As of the moment, ban reports are wide and various and seem to be trending for people who violated the above 3 in some way or a combination. Does it mean it's 100% guarantee of a ban for someone who may have done the above? Not at all! But it's probable....REMEMBER: this guide isn't a do-all end-all. It does not assume to know the reasons for the ban, just what is observed so far. It's just for people who want a quick way to get rid of SX OS regardless of what the truth might be that you and I certainly do not know. Only Nintendo does.

BEFORE DOING ALL STEPS: ENSURE AIRPLANE MODE IS ENABLED AND A WIRELESS CONNECTION IS FORGOTTEN UNDER SETTINGS

Step 1: Enter SX OS - take a deep breath! Ensure airplane mode is enable - wifi connection is forgotten...
Step 2: Delete any software (aka launched backups) from Switch under SETTINGS > DATA MANAGEMENT.
Step 3 : Remove ALL Save data of relevant backups.
Step 4: Turn off the console
IF YOU DON'T HAVE AUTO-RCM SKIP TO STEP 7!!
Step 5: Plug in the console to your PC to start AutoRCM (if you have it installed from SX OS)
Step 6: Launch the SX OS Payload. Keep holding the Vol + button to access TX Boot menu. Uninstall Auto-RCM.

IMPORTANT For Step 7 : Ensure your Switch is already connected to the PC via USB-C. Sometimes - having it in RCM mode and hooking it up leads to the Switch EXITING RCM mode and booting up Switch OS (Horizon) normally. It happened to me several times in the past!

Step 7: Insert your jig. Go into RCM mode by holding down Volume + and Power. If in 5 seconds you don't see the Switch logo - success. If you do and somehow boot into Horizon (normal Switch OS) - don't panic! Just power off and try again until you see no Switch Logo.
Step 8: Pop out the SD card - install SD Files into the root of your SD card from here : https://gbatemp.net/threads/newest-hekate-sdfiles-zip.506280/ (the files themselves not the folder!). REMOVE any backup .xci files.
Step 9: Grab TegraSmash if you haven't already (you probably do if you have SX OS!). Take the Hetake payload and SMASH it to your Switch.
Step 10: Hit Power on "Launch Firmware"

Step 11: Hit Vol - to scroll to "Clear Log"
Step 12: Hit Power to CLEAN logs. This will boot into Switch Horizon OS after it removes package1/package2, etc.
Step 13: Repeat steps 7-11 one more time for good measure (reinsert jig, resmash Hetake payload, rewipe Log).
Step 14: Power OFF Switch Console. Insert your SD card into your PC - remove ALL files from "SDFiles" [Anything other than the Nintendo folder basically]
Step 15: Re-insert SD card and go back into the Switch OFW (Horizon OS). It is now safe to DISABLE Airplane mode and connect to a suitable Wi-Fi for next steps.
Step 16: Go to settings - users - UNLINK NINTENDO ACCOUNT.
Step 17: HOPE THIS WORKS AND YOU AREN'T ALREADY BANNED!
Step 18: Sign up for a new NNA and hope that your Switch isn't banned!

Congratulations in finishing this guide! Good LUCK.

Unconfirmed to you maybe. Regardless, this guide may help those that aren't lucky enough to get shat on by only being on SX OS. We still don't know 100% what causes the bans since as I mentioned reports vary, sherlock.

You are the premium new user that got banned, you are the god of truth indeed, or maybe not...

Just because they didn't get banned, doesn't mean they won't. Also, various other cases do exist if you check the banwave thread. Some who used SX OS offline and still got the banhammer upon switching to OFW. How do you explain this? The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence. As I mentioned, the guide isn't a do-all end-all. It's just for people who want a quick way to get rid of SX OS regardless of what the truth might be that you and I certainly do not know. Only Nintendo does.

If you modify your system in anyway, you have to accept the risk of getting ban. In saying that, the OP is the only person that I know of that reported getting banned using SX OS once, never running any backup and never using LayerFS, erasing logs, being in flight mode and having internet setting completely disabled. I would advise everyone to take everything with a grain of salt at the moment up until there are more report verifying that fact. Right now we know for a fact that LayerFS will get you banned. I’m still sceptical that is the case with SX OS up until I see more evidence reeinforcomg that fact. We do know that Nintendo have implemented a very strong online anti piracy system with the switch, so be careful in these early stages is just common sense.

Didn't someone get banned for having empty logs? Wouldn't it be better if you could backup your logs from before you homebrewed and restore them after?

How about a guide on how to go from SXOS (XCI) to ReiNX (NSP) WITHOUT BURNING YOUR FUSES? What is the simplest way? I did the EASY update without burning fuses (From 3.0 to 3.0.2) Should I use ChoiDujourNX to go back to 3.0 first? Or maybe restore the full system NAND backup I made before updating? I would like to remove SXOS, Setup ReiNX, go to newest firmware with NOGC and no fuses lost in the process. Maybe include flashing the ReiNX payload to the SX PRO dongle?

Put the ReiNX payload on your SD card root, use the SX pro dongle to boot it, SX pro isn't installed to your NAND, it's just injected into RAM at boot time, same as ReiNX.

I know. That's not what I am asking. I updated without burning fuses. I used the SXOS autoRCM to prevent horizon from booting burning fuses. If I boot normally my fuses will burn. My fuses are at 3.0 (3 burnt) IF I do this method in this tutorial I will boot in to Horizon, burning my fuses. I wish to avoid this. Plus I want to flash the ReiNX payload to the dongle. Like I asked above. Because ReiNX isn't flashed to your NAND. Neither is SX. That's why I have a dongle. And that's why I want to flash the dongle to the ReiNX payload. Do I have to go back to 3.0 first? How do I get from SXOS to ReiNX WITHOUT BURNING FUSES?
