It's the dream day of savvy shoppers and nightmare of impulse buyers: Amazon's Prime Day. Did you get hooked into buying loads of items on steep discount, or did you pass on Amazon's offerings this year?

I ended up getting a sketchbook and pencil set, along with a backup battery and wrist rest of my keyboard.

Haven't gotten anything yet, but my roommate bought two collapsible backpacks.

Gotta say those European amazon workers chose the perfect day to strike.

Just a new phone case but after looking at the OP, I probably need a portable battery too ;o

Wasn't aware that Prime Day was even a thing. I'll still have to pass, though; lack of funds to throw at random stuff on Amazon, and besides, I don't really need anything on there right now.

Had some gift card credit still in my account and the price was too good to pass up, now I can use one card instead of 3x 32GB cards on the switch.

Sadly the Australian government decided to force overseas sellers to collect tax on behalf of Australian buyers (previously only applicable on imports over $1000), so Amazon has shut down access to the American site completely (the administration cost isn't worth the bother to sell to Australians). Now we can only buy from the crappy Australian one that has a hundredth or less of the variety of products and all of which cost way more, more even than the American site plus shipping (usually $30+ even for tiny things). I don't know if Prime day applied to the Australian site but if it did it would have been crap.
