Streaming your PC games to Switch (No latency)

Hi guys! After two days of messing up things i finally found a way to proper stream pc (and emulated) games to switch.

The result

What you'll need

A nintendo switch console with arch linux (thanks to natinusala for the awesome guide i will follow your guide bones :P https://gbatemp.net/threads/quick-tuto-how-to-boot-linux-on-your-switch.501918/)
A Gaming PC
A fast wifi connection

What works

Near 0 latency streaming
No FPS drops under 30
No crashes
Nice image quality

What doesn't work/cons

No Sound (Pump up your speakers Volume)
Joycon Input (Connect them to PC thanks to NoThisIsStupider) https://gbatemp.net/threads/connecting-joycons-to-pc-tutorial-with-analog-support.471017/)
Short range because of Joycon connection to PC
Screen tearing can happen sometimes

Let's Begin (PC HOST)

Download and install Nomachine software https://www.nomachine.com/
reboot your pc then open Nomachine service and set it like screenshots
https://imgur.com/a/WRiZr1i

Now connect to your switch through SSH Protocol and launch the following commands (you can type those on switch terminal too):

su (enter password)
wget http://download.nomachine.com/download/6.1/Arm/nomachine_6.1.6_4_aarch64.tar.gz
mv nomachine_6.1.6_4_aarch64.tar.gz /usr
cd /usr
tar xvf nomachine_6.1.6_4_aarch64.tar.gz
cd NX
./nxserver --install slackware

when the installer is done launch the program from your app menu and type your host pc ip address to connect.
Now the most important part required to get minimal latency: Tap the right top edge of the switch screen and click on Display --> Change Settings and set it like this photo https://imgur.com/a/0g79JMV

I'm sorry for bad English, please tell me if something is not plain and i will edit the post.
Tell me also if you find problems or better settings so i can update this thread.

Now enjoy your pc games on our favorite console! :)

can i do this on 5.1.0? i havent modded my switch at all...

You can do it on 5.1.0, just remember there won't be audio as the Linux distro usually being used is currently broken.

Are you somewhat familiar with the how? Even if you haven't modified your Switch yet? And do you want to risk getting banned?

1. Okay well it's basically the same have everything on your SD card, get the stuff on your computer then follow a tutorial that's insanely easy to comprehend.

2. Cool cause the ban doesn't really restrict you except for online stuff like online play and eShop.

3. Even with a headset it won't work, it's a hard coded problem that their trying to fix but it has yet to be cracked.

4. And there's a link to a tutorial several pages back I believe.

For some reason when I try to connect switch to my computer, the switch turns off and I have to start again linux. Any solution?

Edit: Only happens when I press a controller button.

a year later, i finally realized what you meant by "nomachine".

lol, its the replacement remote desktop app i been looking for!!!

I dont want it for gaming, but that wuold be a bonus. i mostly wanted nomachine for being able to access my computer remotely, with something better than teamviewer.

Thank you !

is it buttery smooth for gaming?

i've found another option that's better than Teamviewer too (remotepc)... quite smooth as compared to TV.
