Got the GBI to see my network. Now forwarding the port GBI uses (1234). Tried 3 different IP webcam viewers and still nothing. At a dead end again.

Make sure you're using the full version of GBI, not the Speedrunning or High Fidelity builds. They don't do streaming.
The docs say the streaming is actually PNG streaming, which I can't imagine is normal. If there's one software I trust to display this, it's VLC.

Let me know if you get this working, I'm super interested in it.

Was catching up on the thread since I don't remember where I left off and don't remember half of what I did read, and insane luck had me jump to a very convenient spot: The post where he added streaming support!
These are meant for Linux, but I bet a little tweaking would get them working in Windows pretty quickly.

PC side loading code (for convenience or is this necessary?)
Code:
WIILOAD=tcp:<GC IP> wiiload gbi.dol carda:/gbi.dol --stream=<PC IP>

The actual display command
Code:
mpv udp://<GC IP>:1234/ --demuxer-lavf-format=png_pipe --demuxer-lavf-o=framerate=59.7275

I imagine you want to change the decoding framerate to exactly match what you have GBI set to, which probably isn't 59.7275.

OMG I actually figured it out MPV was the magical program all along. There is quite a bit of lag and no sound but it works. Thanks everyone.

Fixed some of the lag by changing the fps to 59.7275 like stated (was using 59.98) Also changed my config file for GBI to not process the image as much and switch to 4:3 instead of 16:9.
Also now I can finally stream gameboy camera over my network just like Nintendo intended.

Whoa someone else who has a BBA. Yes I have been using vanilla GBI. Have not tried VLC, will give it a go.
its in my WTB list
waiting for my gba player to arrive currently <3
sadly it seems the prices are damn high for the GC accesories stuff, last time i checked the BBA is going for 30+ bucks...
if i can't get it for less, i may just skip it, i am not sure what i would use it for anyway, not interested in GBI streaming..
how's the compatibility and speed of loading games trough network?

I've been hawking BBAs on eBay for over 2 years at this point, and in that entire time I've seen a single one end under $50. I sniped that one hard.
$55-60 seems to be the price for getting one in a reasonable timeframe.

Haven't done this myself, but online reports say it's about 50/50 compatibility or a little less, stuttering on videos. No clue about streaming audio.
GCOS is the traditional way to do this. Swiss apparently added some functionality for this not too far back, but I've only ever heard of Extrems here getting it to work.
