Hi all, I cannot send payload to the "newly purchased" switch (model 2018 HAC-S-JXE-C3).
I am sure that I follow the working steps for my other 2 switch consoles.
I am sure that my PC has APX driver installed.
I used the same PC to send payload to 3 different switch consoles but only the "newly purchased" console that it does not work.

I updated the video which I tried to send payload to the console but failed.

(Sorry my English is not good)

I tried searching the forum for the hardware revision but the information is very limited.
So would like to ask if the new switch console hardware is patched ?
Thanks.

==================Update on 12th July below====================

I went out to get another spare Nintendo Switch on the same model but lower serial number.
And it still works fine.
I hope this video give you the idea to avoid XAJ7004XXXXXX if you want to exploit your nintendo switch.

did you check if your SD card is working?
Hi, BISKEYDUMP.BIN does not need any sdcard to be inserted into switch.
I am pretty sure that I follow the working step to send payload (at least on 2 different older consoles).
Thanks for your input :)

What firmware was this switch on when you opened it?

I cannot remember it was on either 4.0.1 or 4.1.0 but not on 5.x.x
I updated it to 5.1.0 by myself.

You could try to send the payload with NXLoader:

I do not have android phone :'(
Anyway, I don't see any mistake in my steps to send the payload.
So I am not sure if changing to NXLoader would help ?
I will try when I have an android phone on my hand.
Thanks.

It cannot be a mariko console as the mariko drivers were introduced in 5.0.0 and the console came with 4.1.0
So:
  • You are doing something wrong.
  • There is a new hardware revision but it isn't mariko.
  • mariko chip is able to run with the old drivers.
  • It uses an special 4.1.0 build that supports mariko.
I think the only way to confirm is to read the part number printed in the SoC.

reposted:

try connecting a usb hub (even a cheap usb 2.0 hub) between pc usb port and usb a-c cable and switch

when i was bridging pins 9 and 10 on right joycon only this way i could execute the payload correctly. No i'm bridging pin 1 and 10 and i don't need the usb hub in between to execute the payload with all the other components being the same.

They probably removed RCM on new hardware revisions which is what we were expecting
Can you give it back and ask for a 2017 model?

Just go back to the store, and claim the joycons don't work properly, just say they desync a lot. I doubt the sales person will give a shit enough to bother checking, and will probably refund your money, or let you exchange.

There are some peoples who has the same model HAC-S-JXE-C3 but on a lower serial number compare to mine (my serial number is XAJ70043979XXX)
They can still successfully send payload to their console.
Another person with same issue and same model has not given any serial number information yet.

For my case, I know exactly what I am doing. I have 3 consoles, other 2 older consoles work fine every single time.
So I don't think it is my error for not able to send payload to my latest console.
You can see in the video that I verified if the Switch in on RCM (APX device detected) before sending payload.

It is very difficult to do that with local shop in Hong Kong :'(
Thanks for the idea anyway.

If you keep it firmware 4.1 por lower it would still be explooitable vía softwarehax (dejah vu).

Updated to 5.x means that all (known) software exploits are done.

They are definately not removing the tegra recovery mode, hilarious idea. They're switching the T210 SoC to the T214 which is immune to the exploit that enables ace through the rcm
