I'm using pSNES as my current SNES emulator of choice, of course - I might add, because of scaling options, filter options, the easy accessibility of save/load (L+R+plus), emulation quality - I could continue the list for a long while.. ;)
edit: Also, the Switches screencapture function is working, which is a huge deal for me personally (thanks to libnx).

I've just past the Final Fantasy 6 opera scene for the first time in my life as well, and am still planing to continue playing - which is a good sign.. ;)

I'm also using the (non default) much larger rom database cpasjuste provided, that includes european versions of roms as well - and havent had an issue with it so far scan/integration times are still very fast.

For everyone having issues with their roms showing up, make sure, that you have "show clones" enabled - as the main version of a certain rom might not be the most current, or preferable, or the one you've got, and other "mixups" like that are somewhat likely.

The one thing I've noticed so far is, that analog stick emulation (character movement) on FF6 lags noticeably.

But afair, this (input lag) also was a thing in all Snes9x EX Android Builds after 1.5.1 ( http://www.explusalpha.com/home/snes9x-ex/downloads ). Digi pad inputs on pSNES dont seem to be affected, but I could be wrong. (Entirely or in part... ;) ) ) Also the Snes9x EX finding might be entirely unrelated, but I though I'd mention it. :) Just for documentations sake.. ;)

I don't care what that thing yacked about. NES was mentioned in this thread and I pointed those, that may not know, in the direction of 1 I {personally}, recently, discovered. I know you jokes like to try and slosh out of your esophaguses, but I'm not the one to play with. IGNORED.
With your hateful attitude I have a feeling you are gonna end up ignoring a lot of people. A word of advice, stop attacking everybody with your “large and impressive” and very much unneeded words. They do not make you sound any smarter and will only draw negativity towards you, especially if you keep using them to put people down.

The SNEX9x port is way better than this. You can browse roms in any folder of the SD instead of putting it in a specific folder.
How does that invalidate the worth of this one? I actually prefer this to the RA core of SNES9x2010..

Just tested "Marvelous - Mouhitotsu no Takarajima (English Translation)", and highres mode as well as force 4:3 work as expected. Also - the analog stick emulation is quite responsive... May have just been my imagination.. :)

FYI - I've imported an sram save from the SNES classic mini, and it worked without issues - so thats a positive as well. :)

Importing sram states originating from this emulator onto a SNES classic mini, works fine as well, btw.

This is a little OT, but using one of those two tools (http://darkakuma.z-net.us/p/sfromtool.html or https://old.reddit.com/r/miniSNESmods/comments/761m8j/srm_to_canoecloverclvs_converter/) to convert the sram file psnes produces into a sram file with a hash, you then can just copy over the two resulting files into the corresponding game folder on the SNES classic mini (using ftp) - and the save file will load as intended.

I've used it to get a savestate directly before the start of the opera scene in Final Fantasy 3 (/6) onto my Snes Classic Mini.

The folder path for Final Fantasy III (on a european SNES classic mini) is:
/var/lib/clover/profiles/0/CLV-P-SABTE

I've attached my already converted srm file to this thread, if anyone reading along should want to use it on their SNES classic mini, or in pSNES.

end OT. ;)

In what community fostering people with even an average IQ does this stand as an "argument" for more than two days - while other postings are removed.

This is pure populist, anti intellectual, and nonsense flaming - for people that have to end all of their arguments, slinging emotionional safe space proposals. (Having to end arguments with the story of how they are fighting for their own.)

If you can't handle the heat, heres a word of advice, still never put down the person with a vocabulary twice as large as yours, on the basis, of so called "elitism".

Not trying to start anything here - but reading this, and not saying anything, surely can only fly in a forum - where people dont know each other by name, and moderators are only visiting - when they get "flagged" notices, then delete the non populist position, then vanish again.

Says the person that is picking up a disagreement that happened two days ago purely for their own benefit.

And if you weren’t trying to start anything then you would not have even said anything, nor would you have quoted my post.

And as for attacking their intellect with the abundant use of large words, it is not their use of bigger words that I was pointing out. It was their improper use of large words that I was pointing out such as “sloshing out of your esophagus’”

Now if you want to go on a “oppressed and offended rant” there are other places to do so. So please, keep the “oppressed” attitude to yourself and don’t derail the post again. There is an “edge of the forum” location for those or even your own personal blog. Or if you would like to make it a personal vendetta you may even PM the person that has offended you.

Now back to discussing the emulator.

I have to agree, I benefited so much in picking it up. *bush rolls through*

I just didn't want to let it stand unconfronted, thats all. I'm even in too good of a mood to double down on it ("people with a limited range of words (Icanhaz, someonetellme, hellpitried, ..) - are actually detrimental to... - would have been my line of argument.. ;) ).

Eh, next time - just call the person out on whatever they did, and not on using "big words", and I'm fine with it.. ;)

This is a port of mainline Snes9x. That fact is more important than which directory your files need to be in.

There's no getting through to such an ingrate, he doesn't even have the guts to reply lol. Let him stick with his inferior, hack-oriented versions of older Snes9x lol.

Anyone else having trouble with save states? I played SMB + Super Mario world and saved 4 states in SMB3. All were there and I could use them while playing a session. Quit the game and after launching PSNES again all save state slots are empty.
