You would probably need help from other developers as well, just saying.

Also, holy crap VICE actually compiled. Now let's prepare our SD card for it before I can actually get to test it. Also going to try and test 64DD on Parallel, including the BIOS.
Emulation on the Switch is just getting better and better over time :yayswitch:
Less work for me is always a good thing. I like this "concept"

If you meant that literally, no, i don't.

Damn, it didn't fully compile
C:\devkitPro\devkitA64\projects\RetroArch\RetroArch-salamander>make -f Makefile.switch platform=switch
linking retroarch_switch.elf
libretro_switch.a(app.o): In function `file_browser_init':
C:\devkitPro\devkitA64\projects\RetroArch\Cores\vice3.0-libretro-master/libretro/nukleargui/filebrowser.c:167: undefined reference to `getuid'
C:\devkitPro\devkitA64\projects\RetroArch\Cores\vice3.0-libretro-master/libretro/nukleargui/filebrowser.c:167: undefined reference to `getpwuid'
libretro_switch.a(archdep.o): In function `archdep_home_path':
C:\devkitPro\devkitA64\projects\RetroArch\Cores\vice3.0-libretro-master/vice/src/arch/libretro/archdep.c:197: undefined reference to `getuid'
C:\devkitPro\devkitA64\projects\RetroArch\Cores\vice3.0-libretro-master/vice/src/arch/libretro/archdep.c:197: undefined reference to `getpwuid'
collect2.exe: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [/opt/devkitpro/libnx/switch_rules:80: retroarch_switch.elf] Error 1
Looks like my plans for Commodore 64 on the Switch have been thrown out the window...at least for now anyways

@m4xw @CatmanFan did you guys change anything in my Makefile to get Parallel working? I rebuilt it (with an updated RetroArch fork this time) and it still freezes when I load a rom. Ironic how I apparently got the core working, but I can't even build it properly myself! I wanted to look into getting the threaded Angrylion renderer working, but there's no point if I have no way to test it. It's embarrassing, but if someone could help me I would appreciate it! I tried compiling snes9x2010 and that worked just fine, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

You dont have to go through 120 Pages to find the solution, because there is no Issue!

Just try closing the application properly and don't use the HOME button

m4xw, thank you for the link regarding configuring/saving buttons. Do you have something similar for when users want to reconfigure the aspect ratio for various cores, and have them actually save/restore when reloading the individual cores? Many thanks!

I think u can just go Quick menu, options, create core config and add core-specific values there

I tried rebuilding again, different roms, letting it sit for a while (10 minutes?), but nothing works. When I built with my old RetroArch fork (pre-salamander) it would freeze on a black screen when launching a rom. Building with the latest sources, it freezes in the RetroArch menu on the core selection. Really weird, but I guess there's nothing I can do. I might still try getting the threaded Angrylion working if I have some time, I'm sure someone would be willing to test it!

Dont use salamander (load core).

Just start the core manually. salamander seems bugged on your build

Switching cores via salamander works fine, but when I select a rom with Parallel it asks me to select a core again (with Parallel as the only option). When I select Parallel from this menu, it locks up. Starting the Parallel core directly produces the same results.
