Well having the HBMenu running without RCM and payload is already an advantage and having a exploit that later could see the release of a true coldboot exploit is 4 me a very huge reason not to update, though I'm on 3.02 so I'm worse than you ;).

About the exploit, NO ETA announced, SciresM knows about it, but he won't probably release it as nintendo or some other company is after ppl 4 that kinds of things.

Only FW1.0 is confirmed to get a release soon, probably might even come with atmosphere release on day one or a few time after, but no real date is known too...

If you can enter RCM one time using something like a paperclip, you can install AutoRCM so you don't have to use a jig/paperclip ever again. With AutoRCM installed, your console will automatically boot into RCM when it's powered on.

The private software exploit for 3.0.0 has not been released, and we don't know if/when it will be released.

Pretty sure the reason they aren't releasing Deja Vu is because it potentially works on Mariko, so they're at least gonna keep it untill Mariko releases.

WTH is Mariko? And whatever it is, it doesn't sound like a good reason to delay.

Pfft, 1.x.x... yay, now all ten 1.x.x users will be able to use it with ease!

Mariko is the new hardware revision of the switch that patches the tegra vulnerability. It's definitely worth keeping Deja Vu untill then because we won't be able to use RCM on Mariko and Deja Vu could potentially work.

I only have a launch unit, no way to get another one to mess with.

Is this method still dangerous if you somehow allow your Switch to run out of battery? Im not following the scene very close but i remember this being a problem.

No apart from one user whose Switch refused to accept charge when that happens, but the fix simply involved opening the Switch and removing the battery. Every other person so far has not that had to happen to them so chances seem minimal, to say the least.

Personally i use a small piece of tinfoil to bridge pins 9 and 10 of the left joycon itself, works everytime. However while the foil is in place the switch wont recognize the joycon as docked though it will still charge
