I assume once we do this we need to play the demo in Hekate, yeah? We can't play it in OFW?

Yeah need hekate in order to load the modded file. I think it does it automatically after you load it in the right place in the atmosphere folder

Hi, i'm trying to patch this demo, i've arrived at the point with nso2elf.exe. I'm trying to convert but says that there are some missing ddls... So i've installed all visual c++ but said error yet, so i have manually installed it into the system32. Now the program says From italian "Impossible open this app (error 0xc000007b) Click ok to close the app" andddddd nothing elf file. Can someone help me?

Looks *much* easier to just edit the save file!

Since there's a switch python module, I could try and script an edit of the savegame or something. That way you can just dump with checkpoint -> run script -> inject savegame and be back to 0 seconds playtime

I already tried with the save method, but when i launch the demo the time return 03:00 ans so when i try to exit from a city appear Thanks for playing this is the demo and bla bla bla

guys...I know I'm a noob but I don't know what to do. I made a backup of my save file with checkpoint, but it saves all the saves in one file (I have a save file at 2.59 and 1 at limit). Is it good? can I use it to edit? thanks

Save 0 is the autosave.

Save 1 is the one I edit. Its also your actual save. Just edit this one, don't forget to make a save backup of your original save incase anything goes wrong. Also load the edited save into the game.

Check my previous post that had pictures to help you edit the save file.

hi mate.
i have just tried editing the save file.
i found the playsecond bit in your image and edited it to 0000
i reinjected the save and rebooted the console.
when i start the demo and check my saves it still shows the time progress as it was before the edit.
if i load the save and check in game, it is still as though it hasn't been edited.
I did this on Save 1 as suggested.
i also did this on 2 different saves. one had hit the 3 hour mark, the other was just under 2 hours.
am i missing a step somewhere?

for what its worth I've had issues with saves not loading while trying to edit them and you're in a new character sotry beginning. not sure if it's related.

Is anyone willing to help a complete rom hacking newbie?
I followed this tut https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-get-switch-keys-for-hactool-xci-decrypting.506978/ and succesfully generated my keys.txt which i renamed to .ini and copied into hactool folder.
I also copied f5983d8f4951458e8f1413be7579e3f9.nca from my SD card to hactool folder, but now when i try to run "hactool -k keys.ini f5983d8f4951458e8f1413be7579e3f9.nca" it only gives me "unable to open f5983d8f4951458e8f1413be7579e3f9.nca: Permission denied".
Anyone got an idea what i´m doing wrong here?

so I have to edit blocks 132764-132765 right? I already tried to change my save's block 132764-132765 from 00 04 to 00 00, but the time didn't change at all. I'm not sure if I misunderstood or did it wrong.
EDITED: It's all good now. I just found out what did I do wrong. Thank you
