I try to boot the payload.bin from sx os, but nothing happens at all. I use the NX Loader app. I don't know why it's not not working, hekate is just working fine

This happened to me, make sure you're not auto injecting it. If it still doesn't work try to inject with tegrarcm

The Firmware Update in Tutorial aection.

I didn't even know there was an update section. All I did on my switch was loading hekate and play some prince of persia in hb. Now I tried to load the payload, but as I said, blackscreen. I'm on latest

Okay, I found a way it's working for me.

1. In NX Loader App --> select payload --> hekate
2. Switch --> RCM --> hekate shows up
3. In NX Loader App --> select payload --> sx os
4. In hekate --> reboot (rcm)

And then it worked. I can't figure out why I have to do it this way, but it's working

Same here. If I remove the boot.dat from the SD I get an error message saying it can't find it, so I can confirm the sx_os payload is correctly loaded. However... it doesn't boot.

I kept trying over and over again, and one time it worked. I made sure the boot.dat md5 is correct in the SD, however I noticed it was incredibly slow on my PC, so I'm going to blame the old and slow microSD card until I can buy a faster one.

UPDATE:
nope. I tried a new microSD, and also tried two different cables (both low quality though).
I discovered it only works once in a while. the payload is uploaded from the PC, but (I assume) it's not being correctly executed in the switch.
It's pretty random. For me it also happens with the latest 2.3 hekate version. I was able to boot it, then reboot into RCM, and tried to launch sx os from there, same problem.

Then I tried to load hekate again... same problem! it's super random, so I'm going to just try to buy a good quality cable, to see if that fixes it.

Update 2:
I "fixed" it by changing the USB port+chipset I was using.
I have different USB 3.0 cards installed in my PC. First I was using the onboard integrated USB 3.1 chipset and it failed almost all the time (I only saw it work two times, out of almost 20 or 25 tries).
Now I'm using a VIA VL80x pci express USB 3.0 card, and I managed to load the payload correctly without problems every single time.

The onboard ports that DID NOT work are:
Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming:

* Chipset+ASMedia® USB 3.1 Gen 2 Controller:

    • 1 x USB Type-C™ port on the back panel, with USB 3.1 Gen 2 support
    • 1 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port (red) on the back panel
* Chipset:

    • 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports (red) on the back panel
    • 6 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports (2 ports on the back panel, 4 ports available through the internal USB headers)
    • 4 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports (available through the internal USB headers)
* CPU:

    • 4 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports on the back panel

To be honest I didn't try ALL of them. But it looks like using a very cheap Via USB 3.0 card worked like a charm. The chipset on the card is VL80x (I think mine is VL805) according to lspci.
This one is VERY likely the pcie card I'm using. I didn't buy it from Amazon, so the brand is different, but it looks like the chipset is the same that works for me:
https://www.amazon.com/Tanbin-VL805...?ie=UTF8&qid=1529579172&sr=8-1&keywords=VL805

Good luck!

Are you using the latest version of SX OS?
