Hacking [RELEASE] Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax Ignition - Translation

Alright, so here's an update for this translation! Fisrst off, though, I would like to mention that someone from Reddit has started work on the Story Mode conversation scripts, so that's being worked on too. We dunno when that'll be done, but it's being worked on.

As for the new version, this is the changelog:

V1.10
-Made certain to include the file for stage name translations this time!
-Added translation version and credits to the startup
-Improved/changed a couple logos, mostly to fit with localized DBFC.
-Translated illustration names
-Translated in-fight portrait names
-Translated profile names and logos
-Translated victory screen names
-Finished translation of Music gallery
-Remade playable characters' names in Character Select (should look better, using the full space allowed by the game to fit names into a single line and with more consistent centering... but still somewhat inconsistent because the game itself isn't consistent and it really bothers me)
-Fixed certain typos and other misc changes for consistency and such

Update using Sasori's installer or
DOWNLOAD v1.10 (Manual install)

It's been over a week since the last update, so I figure I might as well do a progress report of sorts so people don't think this is abandoned. Progress has been really slow, however. While I already knocked out the profiles, the translator that's working on the Story Mode dialogues has been really ill. So not much has been done on that end just yet, but I think at least Shana has all of her conversations translated already.

Since no issues have come up with the current version as far as I know, there's no rush to update and I'm waiting on the Story Mode translations. The next update should have Story Mode finished up and might be the last version if we can also do the win screen messages.

Whoops, those are pretty silly mistakes (specially the Taiga one). Thanks for pointing them out! I'll fix them up sometime this week. Might release a version before Story Mode translations are done, then!

I'm sure nobody really cares by now, but it was nagging me that I had vanished from this project without really explaining, and I felt like I should "come clean" about it. The arcade dialogue translations aren't gonna happen, unless somebody else picks them up. The guy who was working on them dropped out from the project. I can't blame him, though, since I had done so too, so I have nothing against him.

As for why I had vanished: I pretty much just lost interest in the game. I played other stuff, worked on a small mod for some other (non-Vita) game, had issues with my PC, life happened, etc, etc. Just got distracted and lost interest for this thing. Plus I felt like v1.10 was good enough. Hell, v1.00 was good enough for what I had originally wanted, heh. But thinking about it, it was nagging me that I was an ass and didn't even let anyone know, even if there's not much interest for the game and its translation anyway. Plus there were still some typos I hadn't fixed and there was some unreleased work that was pretty much wasted by not being released.

I'm releasing what I have of patch v1.20. There was some more minor stuff planned for this patch, and I had hoped the arcade translations would've been in this patch, but eh. I'd rather release this now than not release anything at all. For whoever cares: I'm sorry I hadn't released this sooner, and I'm sorry I hadn't said anything about this little project's status.

As for v1.20, this is the changelog:

-Translated profile voice samplers
-Fixed a couple minor issues (thanks to rikimtasu for reporting!)

For some reason I have no images, only blank objects in my game when I install the patch. I did something wrong lol. Been having trouble installing the update, and then it finally works with no images lol

Thanks for providing this translation! Just a question though, if I activate the DLC characters, would anything break? I don't know if you translated their stuff, but even if not, would that overwrite anything?

I would certainly appreciate it because I think I have the same issue. I added the DLC and the characters are available in the menu but they have no image or icon for selecting them (its a transparent button) and the scroll order is out of whack too (to select one of them, I need to go one left of the Virtua Fighter character, but it actually takes two left button presses to get there, stuff like that.) I got the update VPK as well and when I install that, the game ceases to work at all. If it is against the rules, could you maybe PM me?

Can someone explain to me how to install this being on 3.65 Enso because the game keeps crashing by doing both of the tutorials or just gives blank squares

Install the game through molecular instead of vitashell in addition you can also unzip the vpk to mai folder and install it through maidump.

Doesn't work on 3.65 Enso

EDIT 1: I did get everything to work on 3.65 Enso. The English patch and the DLC's are working. Do NOT follow this tutorial since it is outdated. I'll try making a tutorial on Reddit to help others and I'll post the link here

To any future people here, this is what I did
VPK names are edited to show for simplicity.

-First the Initial game Install-
Install FULLGAME.vpk & UPDATE.vpk
Connect memory card to pc
Open FULLGAME.vpk and UPDATE.vpk on PC
Transfer all content in FULLGAME.vpk to App/PCSG00758
Transfer all content in UPDATE.vpk to App/PCSG00758

What this just did was Install the game, and then you're replacing the newly installed game folders with the vpk folders. Kind of like Installing twice.

-Then the English Patch-
Transfer English folder into App/PCSG00758

-Then the DLC-
Transfer folder called addcont_plain to ux0:
Open App/PCSG00758/System
Transfer both text files in DLC Unlock Fix to this folder

This is the complete steps I took to getting this game to work with the patches.
