7Zip with ultra compression setting. It reduced the size from 55~ to 27GB.
whoa! i guess it's old news now but are you on the latest version of 7Zip? not sure if this dump is that unique but 7z v18 got my 31gb rawnand.bin under 400mb on ultra compression.

@Zulasas , would be great if you made a teardown of the EDev (If you know how to do that :) ) (Just a suggestion), I don't think there is public documentation/images of the interior of the EDev...

Would probably be better if someone used to teardowns would do it. Lots of delicate parts just waiting to be broken.

This is the demo units used in stores for playable demos. Personally I would send it back to them because this can be seized by Nintendo. They can demand you give it to them if you don’t they can sue you and stuff. The system also shouldn’t read anything in particular in regards to the sd card. I believe it only looks for certain file names on the SD card to preform updates to the unit and add more demos

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's a test unit or something like that.

There are some people that have kept and sold Nintendo's dev units in the past... If Nintendo demands you to give it back, then you should give it back, if they don't then don't bother.

I’ll have to do some more digging but I’m fairly certain this is a demo kiosk to toy r us

Toys'r'Us stores are closing in the US, right? So this will explain why you got it so easily.
I would keep it.

EDIT : uh, I thought you were the OP.
He (or she?) is german, and I don't know if Toys'r'us is closing there.

It's not used for demos, it is used for System/Software development for the Switch.
What I’m saying is the EDev is also used on Demo kiosks. Since toys r us is closing a lot of these got sold as fixtures which would explain the cheap pricing
