I have no answer as to why it hasnt been cracked, but for something like this, I'd say there's more people willing to work on this due to ease of access and that (Haven't looked at selling volume yet) there seems to be more switches than Xbox One's.

Maybe it won't be cracked, and out of my skill range, but I'll at least try. Get 4-5 more people to try, and suddenly we have a lot of research to run on.

You're correct though, and there is a possibility it won't be cracked. If it is though, expect a full writeup on how, and most likely clones of it.

XBOX PIRACY WHEN?

Atmosphere for xbone confirmed?!

I'm sure this poster was refering to Team-Xecuter's custom firmware for the Xbox 360 DVD drives not being cracked(Which was mainly the work of C4Eva), not the Xbox One.

And why not?
Cracking a simple license check can be done in literally a single jmp.
Even if they have multiple license checks, traps, flags, and etc, it can all be cracked.
Breakpoint, flag, jmp out, breakpoint, and repeat.

Hell, once I get a copy of the OS, IllI reverse it myself.

I would guess they would encrypt the patches using the value you supply from the console and give them back to you in the licence file. Using a hash from an unmodified payload and your supplied key, only your console can then decrypt the data that will then be used to enable CFW.

Just a guess...

Do you really think their payload won't be obfuscated ?

If they don't then everyone with a simple knoweldge of IDA will be able to nop some checks.

For example try to crack the Launcher.dat of Gateway, no one did it because it was well obfuscated, so to crack it you won't just open IDA, too easy.

Obfuscation can be handled, just needs time. Not saying they didn't, but if they didn't, it'd be extremely easy.
If they did, first I would need to find which tool they used to obfuscate it (There's a scanner I used awhile back that gave me the names, can't remember the name of the tool at this moment), and see how that tool obfuscates a sample project. Sure, it's a pain in the ass, but all it adds is more time, not total protection.

That statement makes zero fucking sense. Waiting for reviewers to release their product? They are team TX not some fucking no name new China team. They have years of experience and a good reputation for back up loaders behind them. People pre ordered the shit out of it, no one cared about what random reviewers said.

Why didn't they send reviewers the SX OS only to review? Why give a specific date and then try to excuse it around "reviewers"

Something is not right with all this non sense. Part of me thinks the new TX isn't up to standards of the old TX and they just botched the release of their product, and the other part thinks they are very afraid of how easily their "OS" will get cracked.

yeah I think they just botched the release of the hardware product VS the software product. They need way to make the hardware purchase seem like the best idea even though the software purchase should have produced the fastest result.

TX ventured into uncharted waters, if they are the same team as they were back in the day (good point), going into handheld system modding they just chose a bad time frame (june) to do this. They wanted their OS to be the only option and to entice buyers by designing an RCM dongle and delaying their SX OS just for that... , they were certain atmosphere/any alternative would never come out by the time they release their OS. However, their worst fear has transpired and there is a free alternative already, before reviewers even have their units/have their reviews up, and sure, it's complicated and glitchy as it is, it's free. As soon as the LayeredFS method gets better/more user friendly/documented it's going to give SX OS a run for it's money. However, no matter how much money they made off of pre-orders, this release is botched straight to hell.

I actually think that it's gonna be released earlier than the 19th.
We have 1 video on youtube with a unboxing and test, and in that video the "reviewer" can't do anything. The SXPro asks for the boot.dat, a file from SXOS. (i think?)
For the reviewers to actually test and review SXPro, they need to actually use it and show it in action. As such, they need SXOS. Some of them already have a SXPro in their hands.
Now i dunno if they are a different, exclusive group that will get the files and license codes needed to properly run SXPro/SXOS first... Maybe they will put the files on the website but only send the codes to confirmed reviewers, while we have to wait a bit more.
We'll find out soon enough, but i think that SXOS will be released earlier than 19th of june.

I don't think that was a reviewer in that video, as you can see the piece of paper lists a reseller. This is more likely a promotion from that site.

Maybe SX OS isn't complete enough for public release just yet, but not far off enough to delay the hardware shipping?
