not -all- of them obviously, of course there are some great long ones. But from time to time, you play a game that only lasts 6-15 hours, but it's pure perfection throughout.

Phantom Hourglass is one (though it's on the longer side), Orcs and Elves (coming soon to DS!) is another. I beat the latter over a day, playing it on my smoke breaks at work, and then accidentally ignoring my boyfriend for a few hours after I got off of work.

Two questions for ya. What's your favorite short-tastic game that never lets up?

and...

What's there similar to Orcs and Elves, but for the DS and possibly GBA? I've already got Mazes of Fate, is there more?

My faveorite short game EVER?
I would say Megaman Zero 2. beat it 8 times. Only takes me about 40 minutes.
Also, kirby nightmare in dream land. I love the Meta knight mode!
Cant think of any for DS though

Yep, the execss playing makes it. Like when I was playing Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles ^^.

To name a long one: The Legend of Zelda: The ocarina of time. I start to understand why everyone wants it on the DS. I really know what I missed the past years, it was that one game !

I loved Orcs & Elves on my mobile, I hear its a port with a load more added on to it. ID said that they wanted it to look better but apparently what they have done is the best that the DS can do...

Anyway you are right the best game seem very short, but then some other games that are long get a bit boring the longer they go on so you can't win really.

Well, Pokémon was a blast, and I wouldn't say the 70 hours I spent on it are on the short side

Can't say about Zelda, I don't like that game. But everyone seems to be complaining about how short and easy it was...

I enjoyed the New Super Mario Bros, even though I found it to be quite short. Half-Life 2, also a fairly short game.

The game I was probably most disappointed with because of its shortness was Windwaker. I ended up taking a break playing this game because I didn't want to beat it too fast, then forgot all about it and never beat it till 2 years later.

We need more long and awesome games.... like Fallout. Well maybe that game isn't that long, but it was to me back when it came out 10 years ago

Well obviously with a short game they can spend more time making each moment action packed and awesome, whereas with a long game, they have to spend a lot of the development time just making it long rather than making it awesome.

Also a short game won't start to seem boring whereas a really long game might seem to drag towards the end because the gameplay gets stale.
