Sounds to me to some privilege problems, maybe its still somewhat sandboxed/didn't get full privileges, I don't know how the priv. escalation of pegaswitch works.

Sounds most likely. Again, it's why Hekate/Atmosphere is the most preferable exploit to use and somewhat devalues PegaSwitch in the future.

Hey is it normal for the snes emulator to put up a black screen everytime you do an ingame save -> close content -> quit retroarch?

Once I exit the screen the emulator will start just fine but I don't know if this is intended or not

Nah it wasn't. why wait. The Switch homebrew scene has a lot of emulators. it's nice. The wii u had a psx emulator too but at the end of it's life.
The ps1 emulator we have now is not getting updated with sound or anything they are working on a different emulator with better performance that's why he said to wait

Great! It worked for me after several attempts , fw 5.1

______________________________________

For those who are having trouble trying to get this to work, this is what I did:

On the pc

- download the files required (files for the emulator) m4xw linked
- look up on google for the bios and download them all
scph5500.bin PS1 JP BIOS - Required for JP games 8dd7d5296a650fac7319bce665a6a53c
scph5501.bin PS1 US BIOS - Required for US games 490f666e1afb15b7362b406ed1cea246
scph5502.bin PS1 EU BIOS - Required for EU games 32736f17079d0b2b7024407c39bd3050

-Create a .cue file for every bin game you want to play, if you don't know how to do that, this is how you do it; (I will use Resident Evil 3 as an example)

Open notepad
type down exacly what its below and change 'resident evil 3.bin' to whatever rom you wanna play;

FILE “Resident Evil 3.bin” BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

save the file as `all` and name it exactly as your bin file is but change the extension to cue, like this
Resident Evil 3.cue

On the Switch

-Copy all the files for the emulator to /switch
-Create a folder on /switch/roms called `Beetle PSX` ( you can name it whatever you want )
-Paste your roms on this folder /switch/roms/Beetle PSX along with the .cue file, so this should be normally 2 files, .bin and another .cue (yeah I know, theres more files the emulator can load, but this is just a newbie tuto)
-Paste the downloaded bios onto /switch/roms/Beetle PSX along with the games

Thats it, there you have it, just load the emulator and have fun

can you post IMG of your Dir and how your files are setup

Das erklärt jedenfalls warum du so viel Bier trinkst

Is Steam Link a valuable alternative to Moonlight?
I had better performance in Steam Link than in Moonlight, it has also a own os and a Linux and Android port if I'm not wrong.
I have no experience in coding, but afaik Moonlight is Open Source and Steam link is not?

I don't know the protocol steam link uses, so idk.

Right now moonlight would be the only really viable option.

Are you gonna try to upstream this?

I've already discussed this with hunterk and Autechre, once I get my key features stable I will clean it up, rename some stuff so I can exist besides the libtransistor port, squash it up and merge it.

There are still some things to discuss, but it's not time yet.
