Will the adafruit feather basic proto m0 work in place of the trinket m0

Yes, I have the Feather M0 adalogger and it works perfectly. As long as is M0 it will work. Plus the JST connector and the integrated charging circuit made it easier to attach a battery and still keep it in small form factor.

I suggest you to wait a couple of days, until the Fusée Gelée is finally released. I'm almost certain a lot of things will be released at the same time, and it's pointless spending money in something that you don't know for sure it will be necessary.

True. Wait for the CFW.
Why? These things take weeks to ship from China, no reason not to order one now.

You can use this right now to get homebrew on 5.1.0, there are no other methods for newer firmwares.

Unless someone comes out with a cooldboot exploit (highly unlikely, *especially* on newer firmware versions), these "dongles" will continue to be necessary.

Searching "1800mah router" on AliExpress yields many results. Here's a decent looking listing: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/foo/32450110745.html

With fuse-gelee, do you mean the soft mod for the 4.1.0 version? Or the cfw with the name "atmosphere"? Or the fuse gelee payload that ist used at the moment to run the homebrew?

Yes. Those will work. Self powering even.

See a few pages back. Retroid released the first build instructions and git repo for fuse-lede that targets that hardware. Others built some prebuilt images ready for flashing based on that work.

Here's Retr0id's git.
