Majority of the people here are standard users or standard devs who don't know how to Reverse Engineer. Most "Uber hackers" avoid and despise gbatemp. Or at the very least are just inactive and only use it to post about their work.

Well said, I agree.
I also find it rude when hypocritical devs insert their illogical fallacy's at the bottom of their UI.

To whatever anonymous dev decided to release this tool, telling other teams to quote 'Suck it' while releasing tools which support their achievements is like telling your wife's boyfriend to suck it while you gargle on his bodily fluids.
It means less than nothing, due to the hypocrisy in play.
Sick of Switch scene drama anyway so.. Genuinely thanks for the release, will be sure to cover it because it's useful, but I'm deffo cropping out the bottom section of your UI.

Can't wait to credit somebody with a name for better cart dumping tools in the future!

Final update has been added to the OP. FAT32 dumping is now supported in 2GB chunks and option to dump without a cert. Cart2 games still not supported and likely will not be.

I am using Switch FW1.0.0, but unfortunately it doesn't work. Is it compatible with FW1.0.0? Is it possible to make it correspond?

It's the attachment in OP - it's now 0.0.3 despite being same filesize pretty much as 0.0.2

Not a new protection, just a different layout. And it's unlikely to be supported because this was the "final" release and that feature is not present.

hey i did not read all 8 pages but tell me if i understand that correct:
xci is the format we will soon use for backup palying
i can dump most games(no card2) with that homebrew program (like we could with the gateway launcher on the 3ds)
its recomendet(if is plan on sharing the dump) to set the cert to a bunch of zeros in HxD or just dump the game without it.

so basicly the xci with out a cert is what on the 3ds was a *.3ds and with it it becomes a *.3dx file

wouldnt it be possible to repeat the cert swaping we did on the 3ds to play online? i mean if i play MK8 with out a cert online i can see myself getting banned. but if i play MK8 with the dumped cert i probably will not get banned, so maybe it is also possible to reinsert a cert of say zelda into the mk8 dump to play online

(i know that we not jet are able to play backups and this is just speculativ)

No. On Switch Nintendo checks that the cert comes from the same game. You can't use a cert from a different game

An empty cert will work with the loader while a foreign injected cert won't work?

Thank you for this. Managed to dump all 16 of my games without any problems. Currently putting all the files through the xci cutter to trim the size down, takes a long time though

yea he said it does to 2GB files then you merge them back in your pc to have a full XCI game file
