Would anyone consider translating the DS version of Sim Tower? That game was amazing on the PC back in the day and the fact that it exists for the DS is awesome, but its incredibly frustrating that they never localized it outside of Japan.

I also want this ! Wasnt there a SNES version aswell>?

A game I'd like to see a translation for, even if it's just an equipment/item one.

Dragon Quest Characters - Torneko no Daibouken 3 Fushigi no Dungeon (Japan)

It doesn't even have to be a good translation, literally could just be a machine translation of the items and menus lol..

Edit..

I just realized that this was the NDS page.. I'm sorry, I don't see an option to delete, so admins you can delete this if needed

Game name:
MapleStory DS

Release date:
15/04/2010

Game info:
Genre: Action Side-Scroller 2D RPG
What it's about: Portal crises happens in Maple World so you need to fix it (yay!)
Popularity in Japan: I don't fucking know!
Why I want this translation so badly: The "sequence" of this game (MapleStory: The Girl of Destiny) for 3DS has already been translated.
Why I don't think this will come out in the West: The game is for a dead console.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 - Banjou no Geass Gekijou
Just a random game. With Mini games. I guess.
Released on Aug 7, 2008 in Japan. It is a collection of minigames featuring Super Deformed forms of the characters. The player moves along a board through dice rolls, landing on different spots to activate minigames. The minigames are parody-style events with multiple genres. These include helping Jeremiah grow oranges, racing against C.C. and Shirley in swimming, and a sidescrolling beat-em-up featuring Kallen in Guren-like armor.

Popularity in Japan: No Idea. Guess not popular at all.
Why I want this translation so badly: Well. I just want something to play if i get bored XD
Why I don't think this will come out in the West: Because. Japan is japan. The game is soon 10 years old.

Game Name:
  • Houkago Shounen (After-school Boy)

Release Date:

  • January 31, 2008 / Konami

Game info:

  • Genre: RPG, mankind's comfiest RPG ever to be exact. It is sublime, laid-back, and delightful.
  • What it's about: This game is targeted directly at gamers' sense of nostalgia. The adventure game, set in 1975, casts the player as a young elementary student one month before he moves away, doing the best he can to have as much fun and spend as much time as possible with friends before saying goodbye. It features a town to explore, with childhood haunts like parks and candy shops, as well as a school (obviously) and a shrine. Time with friends is passed playing minigames.
  • Popularity in Japan: This kind of game is quite niche. Honestly, I don't know how popular it is in Japan..
  • Why I want this translation so badly: Is your life full of hustlin' and bustlin' and it feels like a circus turd show? Tired of "big-guy" problems and want a reset? Do you wish you could go back in time and revisit that summer vacation you had as a child again? Times where you just don't care about anything and you just go through the day having fun? Unfortunately, this is my case. I believe some of our aging gamers out there are experiencing the same thing. This game would let us just stand by the moment and cherish the childhood we've always longed for.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: Probably because the settings are quite Japan-centric and it has been a decade since its release.

Game Name:
  • Kaiju Busters DS

Release Date:
  • December 3, 2009 / Namco Bandai

Game Info:
  • Genre: Action RPG.
  • What it's about: The theme of the game is a monster hunting action game. Various monsters that appeared in past Ultra Series were featured in this game. Newly created monsters also appeared in this game. This game mainly focused on the defense teams of the Ultra Series. They fight the monsters with a variety of weapons, some of which were originally created for this game.
  • Popularity in Japan: Not sure, but the Ultra series and some Kaiju appeared on it. That and it also spawn a sequel which might have something to do with its reception.
  • Why I want it so badly: It's probably the closest to Monster Hunter for the DS.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the west: Almost a decade now, and the West aren't as familiar to Kaiju.

It's kind of sad these games are never going to get translated at all. Kind of a pity I wish I knew some romhacking to help or something.

I really, really, really want an english patch for Bleach 4th Flame Bringer from the DS. There is not much Bleach material anymore and would be a blight to understand the story and text… Hope someone with hacking skills loves Bleach or plataformers beat' em' up as much as i do.

Game Name:
  • Hokuto no Ken: Hokuto Shinken Denshōsha no Michi
Release Date:

Game Info:

  • Genre: Digital Comic with action elements + Quiz
  • What it's about: It's Fist of the North Star digital comic. You use stylus to perform different Hokuto and Nanto techniques (touch enemy pressure points, slice them, etc) on the enemies to advance the story. The game covers everything from Shin to the final battle with Raoh. By beating the levels you unlock different art, character info and so on. There's also a quiz mode for those wishing to test their Fist of the North star knowledge. AND there's a multiplayer versus mode that's basically battleship clone.
  • Why I want this translation so badly: It's a pretty fun and engaging game, especially for FotNS fans. You don't really need to know japanese to play through the story mode (especially if you are familiar with the plot) but it sure feels nicer in english. And while I can do the story mode on my own by using the translation from the original manga releases I am unable to translate everything else (which is the most interesting stuff for me).

Japanese ad for the game. Shows most of the gameplay elements.

Proof that the game can be successfully modified.

My Offering:

  • I've figured out the custom game image formats and made the tools to pack/unpack the images.
  • I'm a FotNS fan and can help with translating the lore.
  • I don't know japanese and that's why I need help.

Game Name:
  • Densetsu no Starfy 4
Release Date:
Game Info:
  • Genre: Platformer
  • What it's about: It is the fourth game in the Stary series, where Starfy has to save the Amiy Kingdom from an evil tyrant known as Degil, who invaded the kingdom and took control of its power source, the Mon Amour Stone.
  • Popularity in Japan: It was the fourth best-selling game in Japan during its week of release at 47,971 copies. Famitsu also scored the game a 33 out of 40 based on the opinions of four reviewers. So I think it’s safe to say it was fairly popular in Japan, much like the rest of the series.
  • Why I want this translation so badly: I am a pretty big fan of The Legendary Starfy series and want to see more of the series’ games translated for English-speaking fans to enjoy.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: Nintendo has officially stated that Starfy games prior to the fifth have not been officially localized because they were considered “too Japanese”. The fifth game’s lackluster sales and the fact that there hasn’t been a new Starfy game in 10 years as of this writing (despite Hitoshi Yamagami stating in a 2009 Nintendo Life interview that a new game was in the works) means that chances of there being official localizations of the first 4 titles are slim at best.

============Delete Everything Above This Line (Including This Line) When Posting a Request============

Game Name:
  • Insert Game Title Here
  • Scene Release Topic
  • The scene release topic is for potential ROM hackers to easily find info about the ROM itself so they can examine it (type of compression used, etc.) and decide if they want to tackle the project. You can easily find the topic if you search here by title.
Release Date:
  • MM/DD/YYYY
  • Link to the source of the release date (GameSpot, Wikipedia, IGN, etc.) goes here, or you can make the date itself into a hyperlink to the source.
  • If it's not released yet, stop now!
Game Info:
This can be in paragraph form or bulleted list, as long as it contains the following information:
  • Genre: Insert the genre here.
  • What it's about: No need to write a novel, just 1-3 sentences.
  • Popularity in Japan: How popular is this game? Is there any hype for it?
  • Why I want this translation so badly: State your reason(s) for wanting to see this translation. "Just because" is not an acceptable reason.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: Your reason goes here. If you can link to a source, even better.
Screenshots:
  • Include a few nice screenshots here. Try to find something that will catch the eye and make it look interesting.
  • Do NOT post images that the URLs of illegal ROM sites in the image.
  • Do NOT link to images that are hosted on illegal ROM sites.

My Offering:
  • Do you have something to offer?
  • Knowledge of the game (perhaps you play a lot of Square-Enix RPGs and are familiar with certain terminology, e.g., Phoenix Downs, etc.)
  • Do you know Japanese? What is your level of proficiency?
  • Perhaps you even want to commission this project (pay someone to translate it)? If you consider a commission, you need to think about how many people may be working on the project and how long it will take. Your offer of $100 USD would be very small if a translation project team of 5 members work on a game for 4 months. It's like paying each person $5 a month, when they'll probably be working on it for several hours a week.
  • If you do not have anything to offer, just leave this section blank

And, please specify which game. There are a few with English Patches available.
Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary? Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary? Puyo Puyo 7?

Game Name:
Kenshui Tendo Dokuta

Game Release Date:
December 2nd 2004
https://www.mobygames.com/game/kenshi-tend-dokuta

Game Information:
Genre: Adventure
What its about: This game is a surgery simulation where as the doctor you play as (Tendo Dokuta) has to diagnose and examine patients to find their medical problems. This game was only released in japan and had a second game released in japan and localized for american and European audiences. This game was the inspiration to the trauma center series.
Popularity in Japan: The popularity in japan is unknown. From I believe there must've been demand for this game to create a sequel and have it localized.

Reason Why I want this Translated: I had found the medical field interesting and had wanted to try out surgery games. I have played the 2nd game in the series and all of the trauma center games. I believe that people would love to try this game out like i will. There has been questions regarding if this game were to be translated over years ago.

Why I don't Think This will Come to western audiences: This is a very old game that 100% doubt the company would release a translation in these years. The game is now 14 to 15 years old and the ds is becoming more and more obsolete in the eyes of other companies.
