'VOEZ' Physical Version For Nintendo Switch Release Date Announced

voez physical swtich.jpg

VOEZ, the fast-paced animated music rhythm game, is set to hit retail store shelves in physical version next month!

Along with its standard touch-screen controls, VOEZ will feature new controls for Joycon and Dock mode optimized for the Nintendo Switch.

About the game:

VOEZ is a highly stylized rhythm game developed by Rayark Games and features 3 difficulty levels — Easy, Hard, and Special. In each level, there is a black horizontal line at the bottom of the screen, and notes will fall down from the top of the screen on different note lines. These lines can move horizontally depending on the individual song and difficulty level. The player must either tap, hold, slide, or swipe the note depending on which type of note it is. The game also features a lovingly animated storyline, which unfolds through the Diary feature. As the player completes different requirements, new entries will be unlocked, revealing new story content, locations, and more!

The physical version of VOEZ will be available starting July 24 at $39.99 and will include all updates added to the digital version currently available on Nintendo eShop.

It includes 174 songs right now. If I hadn't already spent $25 on the digital version, I would've gotten this one. It's one of those games I wish I had a physical copy of!
As a writer of the official review: I highly recommend this game, still.

The touch screen is good but the software on screen keyboard sucks absolute balls. In games it's fine.

It is different but it's as close as you can realistically get on pc.
Considering osu is centered around a touch screen game already anything is possible

There is a japanese version and an asia multi language version.

ehh...importing a game cart of a jp version of a game you can already get on the u.s. eshop seems a tad excessive. You or your friend must be a pretty die hard fan

hey, I don't even have a switch. I was only informing.
though I would have to disagree with the part where you think you need to be a die hard fan to want something physical. It even surprises me that someone from around here is saying that, since almost always tempers go as far as saying that they would refuse to buy a game if it doesn't have a physical release.
also that asia version has english language, so I don't see the problem about importing it since it is the only way to get it physically until this US version releases.

easy, the content isn't yours forever. the server goes down and there goes your content too.
sure you can just keep it installed forever, but hardware failure happens.
or let's say you missed on a really good game that was digital only, you are completely screwed, there is no way to get it anymore.
now with all the hacking and that you can probably (some game ARE lost forever, look at P.T. or some obscure game that nobody dumped) get around the issue, but that doesn't makes the problem less prevalent if you are a legit guy that want to stay away from all that trickery.

or ya know you could back up all your games yourself as soon as you can when you get them. I don't trust physical cause too often I've ended up losing discs and carts to scratches. at least I can redownload from the eshop or retransfer a backup of the game.

That does sound broken. It's a capacitive touch screen, so simply resting a finger on it should (and does for me) work.

Perhaps you have some kind of screen protector that makes it work wrong?
But actually I have a screen protector and the screen reacts quite well to touching, I would say it works as well as the screen on my phone (that also works quite well).

even if you do that you will not be able to play your games if your console fails.
say your ps3 or xbox 360 fail, you buy another and restore your backup, happy end right? no. you need to log in to psn or xbox live to activate your account and be able to use your games but turns out psn and xbox live don't exist anymore in the future, you are screwed. that doesn't happen with physical games, you put your game and that's all the verification the console needs.

It can be done, yes. but is not official.
there is no official method for doing so, that's the whole point of the argument.

well the thing is that even physical games can be locked away by the internet in that some games like for example botw on wii u didn't let you play the game till you downloaded the day 1 patch. this issue is in a much stronger affect on the switch to the point of some games saying on the case right off the bat that you'll need to download the rest of the game just to play.
