Even serebii isnt always right.
Remember the Time, X and Y were released?

On the Main Page of serebii, there was statetd that the First 2 fights were Training fights without getting exp.
Later, we discovered that only pirated Games werent getting exp.

So, what i want to say: They saw the same trailer like we did, they took all of their Informations from this Trailer, and there was no sign of Touchscreen or wild pokemon Battle Support.

Lets wait a little More to See what happens.
Maybe you can battle wild pokemon somehow, or there are many more Trainer battles (and Re Battles!) To gain exp.

Who knows

I think this game will be interesting. Glad it isn't a mainline, But I am down to try it. Seems like a fun mashup of the two, an app and a game. Nice breakup of the formula. Plus, the graphics and art style look not bad. Kind of like HD versions of sun and moon, which I myself don't mind. Its unique and different. I applaud Nintendo and gamefreak for not being scared of going out of the box on this one, even if it isn't a smash success. It's a very interesting concept!

well if they take away battling wild pokemon to gain ext either you gain levels some other way or you need to keep rebattling the same trainers over and over again.

Interesting game and I will plan to buy Pikachu version when releases and I know it is spin-off, not mainline, so it take years for next-gen Pokemon to finish the development after Sun/Moon releases.

2019 seems fairly good year for mainline Pokemon.

Is this supposed to revive the pokemon go game? Honestly they could've invested their time into an actual pokemon game and made a profit, instead we get this *washed down* experience. Will probably be "that pokemon game no one speaks of".

We'll see how this goes, not particularly exciting but I hope there's an audience for it that enjoys it.

I think many of you are looking at this from a "core gamer's" POV. I think this game is a perfect "gateway drug" for people who played Pokemon Go but arent quite ready for a hardcore Pokemon game. When you're trying to get your non or amateur gaming friend or family member to expand their gaming horizons, games like this are needed. Cant wait to play this version of Pokemon Yellow. I had very fond memories of that game and my translucent purple Game Boy Color lol!

That's what i've been saying for the longest. A Xenoblade/Chrono Trigger style transition. I think an over world where Pokemon are visible on screen would be cool. It'll make the games more lively.

I wouldn't mind voice acting either.
Well, they at least have visible Pokemon. Just not overworld battles.

If they ever do this, it would probably be only for special moments and story events. Not every person in the game. Either way, they could even make VA optional.

That's a good point. They could very well bring back re-battling trainers.

Yeah, chances are they just add more trainers than were originally in Yellow. Also perhaps exp gains from walking with Pokemon (IRL and/or in-game)?

I don't know where you got that at, but you are wrong.

There was a Private Press event that covered all this, and they had a 90 min QnA, once again private. At which they released the trailer to us.

Serebeii was at the Press event, where the questions were answered, everything said by them and alot of other media came from the mouth of Masuda.

They are not basing off the trailer, they got a Media Only QnA.

So let's hit ya with some facts.

The game requires a joycon or Gyro to catch.

There is no Online, Battling or Trading, (Local Co Op on 1 switch, battling and trading over WiFi on 2)

There is no Wild Pokemon Battling.

That is all in the QnA, it is all reality. There was a bunch of media people at the QnA, that all made an article, all saying the same thing, from the mouth of Masuda. You may not like the facts, but facts they are.

What annoys me most is having a plain pikachu/eevee wasting a slot in your team when you could have some badass Pokémon like gyarados or dragonite. In case i play it (not sure, i find too childish) the starterstarter goes to the pc. What a waste if i can't evolve it.

Yeeeah I'm not really looking forward to that. The local multiplayer thing is neat, good addition IMO (and I hope it's also online, I only skimmed the trailer but I didn't see anything about it), the rest of it really turns me off. I don't want fucking Pokemon Go mechanics in my Pokemon game, thanks.
My thoughts exactly. Just going to wait for more gameplay and reviews. Most likely not be getting it see how similar the catching system is to the mobile game...
