Those youtubers who make the HBL videos aren't even hackers themselves. They're just casual scrubs

Never undestood this.

You literally have to read the title or see the date. Like, if it says "Hack for 4.0.1" or something like that, you know is outdated.

When i hacked my friend's Wii U i knew i didnt have to look for old guides and search for the current firmware version. Its common sense.

I think youtube videos are great for noobs like i was at the time. Not being a dumb person and look for the latest guide is just logic.
What you dont realise is just because you used logic and looked at the date doesnt mean every new user will.

I struggled early on trying to realise that what I felt made the most common sense when following logic didn't always translate to the general public.

I couldn't assume a user already knew how to format a sd to fat32. Some people didn't even know how to create proper directory structures on the memory card. And so and so forth. Many examples of times when something written with the word "noob" in the title didn't spell out exactly word for word what to do.

I also had to keep it updated daily to keep up with the emerging Wii u scene. I've been able to slow down now but I still check every day.

YouTube guides to be valid in the middle of a homebrew surge in any scene would also have to be updated almost every day.
