Another thing is all those Stargate3DS sites are owned by a company called GoodDealToYou.com they seem legit and use different domainnames for different products to broaden their sellerbase, if you bought at €35 you will definitely get it before 15 June, if you buy at €38.50 right now you will get it late June or July.

Experience tells me that this will most likely go exactly like Gateway for the 3DS and that soon became obsolete. So I think that I am just going to wait for Atmosphere. If I have to wait longer for pirated games that is fine, someone will do it.
4 me its not. I never removed GW from my 3DS since I installed it, I continue using emunand and I just enjoy having games on SD + M-SD on the GW card so it gives even more space for even more gaming...

But yeah TX will probably get way more obsolete than actual GW flashcard, unless they still release the solder version and that it would bring a memory chip supporting fast emunand in it and leaving the M-SD port of the console to keep changing micro SDs full of games to run... Or a M-SD adapter, this would make me buy it right away...

I'm not much interested in paying quite a lot just for TX software, though the whole pack is awesome, but then the device is not needed unless to update it... The only good thing I see here is I could make a advertise in my local area and install TX software on their Switches and ask like 5€ for the job of backing up and installing and then I buy a huge amount of licenses and sell them at the same price just asking 5€ more for my job:grog:.

I'm not judging the way you run your system, but you do CFW is way more efficient, right? You can do so much more and can free up a lot of space.

I have all I need, Freeshop is still working, I don't have space to install anything more and I can run anything I need, FTP, all .cia games I wanted... Never cared to play anything online, not even with the game cartridges I own, I never tested them online and I won't even bother wasting money buying a bigger SD as no more games from 3DS interest me.

And anyway I think theres some updated custom files to get latest version running on GW and access to eshop or online gaming, but I don't even bother...

Some games I open from GW menu and some I have installed... In fact I have more space in the M-SD on gateway than on the main SD emunand lol 16GB SD and 32GB M-SD...

Has anybody else ordered through https://www.switchsx.com yet? It totals out to $43.50 after shipping, but you have to email them your order # and paypal account so they can send a payment request. Sounds shady

Paypal and VISA both have bad track record of rejecting 'modchip' type products, so sometimes you have to go thru a bit of extra hops.

Its also another reason, why SX OS is separate as 'license', besides preventing 'clones' it also removes 'legal issues' with resellers in certain countries, as they never touching anything 'shady', like nintendo patched firmware or 'keys', just a empty dongle, pdf manual, and code to access the SX OS licensing server buried in mountain located away from takedowns, etc.

You could just throw out the SX OS and use the bootup menu to load linux, or atmosphere, what ever floats your boat, that is why its priced so low, even if you were to build a usbc payload injecting tool that size it would cost about the same, even ordering raspberry pi and cables, and stuff works out to the same, maybe a few bucks cheaper, but no one is twisting your arm.

*helpful information*

If you're able to comment on the question we had earlier; Is the dongle required to install/use the Switch OS? Can someone just buy the Switch OS download and still be able to run it with a PC/phone/Raspberry Pi combo? We've seen a few of your posts on Maxconsoles that contradict each other. Completely understand if you're hush hush until TX give more information though.

Edit: You've kinda answered it in your last post but I rather have direct confirmation.

I don't know personally yet, i assume its the later, just grab the license and use your existing tools and PC/phone/raspberry setup, but I would suggest waiting until their official SX only product support launch site is finished, that could occur anytime between now and tuesday at the worse, when it is ready an another announcement will be posted on TX's main site.

Their device is just so much better than anything out there as the best plug-n-play small device that can fit inside the switch carrying bag...

However I still find the software price way too damn high... I was more interested in the OS only, but its just like 10€ cheaper than the whole package, I don't consider this any good for the OS only feature which also needs the same steps as atmosphere or anything...

Full pack price is pretty nice, but OS only jeez shouldnt even cost more than 10€ ;).

Its like if they are selling the nice device and the high quality well made RCM jig for only 10€ and we are paying the rest for the software which I find it already kinda a way of profiting with backups while at least the hardware we pay for the custom build stuff and usually software was free :(.

Some trackers from my country for example were closed because they had the donations button and on court they claimed they were making money with illegal stuff and if it didnt had donations then they would still be alive, this is kinda whats bad in selling software to run backups even though it can be used just for homebrew or other stuff...

I would be willing to pay like 10€ for the software only my self, but not almost 30 for just the software, I think the only option is really buying the whole package as the OS only is too over-expensive and we still need to do our own jig\mod and use other device for the payload. SUCKS...

PS: I think TX did an awesome job on the whole pack, but a very BAD price on the software only ;).

@guily6669 - i like to see in future similar dongle that adds dock/stand and hdmi/usb out etc. -- or better yet one that adds 'wireless charging' as my desktop has mat on it, all my devices charge, except for switch it still needs a wire!
Do you know if TX CF will allow for HBL? I assume it will constantly be updated as well correct? Will this be done online? Hoping they will support Retroarch.

That's what OS stands for!

Anywayyyyyyy... I'm curious to see how this pans out too. That confused the hell out of me.
Duh lol. I know what OS means.
But its says licence. Meanings you if you have more then one switch you will have to buy another one.

We dont' know how easy Atmosphere is going to be. It hasn't released yet. If it's as simple as Hekate has been, there's not much difficulty in that. As for the backup loader, you act like it won't' be around in a week or so time. There will be some waiting, but it won't be a year like the 3DS was. And what exactly do you need to buy in order to launch Atmosphere? So far, it's all been free.

No shit. It came in BEFORE I could finish my post. I can read just like you can.

Thanks for that insightful remark. I'll be sure to file this away as banter.
USB C to A cable, and a jig at bare minimum. People are already breaking pins with things such as paper clips. Aside from that people with IOS rather than android would need something like a raspberry pi (Or similar miniature device) to launch portably.

Atmosphere runs off Fusee Galee. This is an all in one solution essentially for Fusee. It's easier than Atmosphere just by being a plug and play device for the exploit rather than something you need to rig together. I'd go out of my way for atmosphere if it was a one time launch but if I'm going to have to redo it several times for the next few months a professionally made product, that at the end of the day accomplish the same things I want, is definitely going to save time and effort over the next few months.

sorry if you answered this already Gary but since you have one for testing can you please confirm if the exploit survives after cold boot and if does than can you remove it?
also is it emunand or real nand?
