GBAtemp is attending E3--and we have an interview opportunity with Nintendo!

0ZEZpll.png

Once more, GBAtemp will be live at E3. Next month, two of our magazine staff will have the chance to attend meetings and press conferences with companies like Bethesda, XSEED, Bandai Namco, Sony, and more. Additionally, we've recently secured a meeting with Nintendo, to tour their booth, play some of their upcoming games, and even have an interview with one of Nintendo's representatives. We at GBAtemp are incredibly excited for the chance to get to see what all the game studios have in store, and we'd like to ask if there's any questions you want us to ask Nintendo! (Nothing unreasonable, though!)

GBAtemp's live coverage of the event will start on June 10th, and will finish on June 15th! Stay tuned next month to see GBAtemp's adventures at E3.

Please please pleaseeeeeeeeee ask if there's any chance of a new Advance Wars game within the next year or two. It's my favorite strategy series of all time.
They basically gave up on it in Japan (despite it being translated they didn't even get the second DS entry, though it since appeared on the 3ds virtual console I believe) and since then Fire Emblem (which the same devs as Advance Wars seem to handle) blew up massively.
At this point I am only expecting a 10 years from now Kid Icarus style "oh yeah we own that IP" type thing.

Ask them what do they think of this filthy forum full of hackers and pirates :P
The hackers and the pirates may be filthy but the forum is just fine thank you.

Damn it's gonna be difficult trying to find actual answers with all the troll comments haha.

Please ask them if they thought Nintendo Labo was a success and if they had achieved their goals they set for it. Were they aiming it to be something trendy? Or was it just something for kids to play with? I'd say the reception for the Labo was decent but I really expected it to be huge.

Time to do something vaguely serious I guess.

As others have mentioned then the chances of anything particularly juicy (after all this is a company that has routinely denied the existences of new console revisions when they were already out of the factory and in retailer warehouses awaiting listing/being put on shelves) and I am not sure what position of people you will be speaking to. If you end up speaking to someone other than a straight up PR/marketing peep then maybe a few favourites (controller, console, split those between Nintendo and non Nintendo if you want, game that most influenced your approach to all this, recent game that caught your attention).
If you must do the vaguely journalistic side of things "we have concerns about your internet service, especially now it is a paid affair. What steps have you taken since earlier devices to improve?".
"Do you plan to further your programs for individuals and smaller developers to make things like we saw on the 3ds and wii u?"
"Do you have plans to expand further into South America?"
"What are your fears for the next year or two, also next five years".

Fire Emblem has a much too serious tone for my liking. I didn't like Days of Ruin because of that vibe. But the first three Advance Wars were fantastic. It's a shame Nintendo gives us tons of Mario Party's and generic Mario sides scrollers, but we haven't had a new AW since 2008.

I am probably one of the last people you have to sell the notion of advance wars to

Hopefully the SNES entry gets the translation finished (all the others have been done) as I am curious to see what goes there.

On fire emblem then every time I go try play an entry it just seems like a weaker version of Shining Force, never mind something made in the decades since. Worse still for me is they seemed to have doubled down on the bad even by anime standards story and that seems to be something that attracts much of the newer aspects of its fan base.

@Chary ask them if they're gonna try their best to eliminate hacked cheating or future cheating during online play now that it's a paid service.
From what we have seen already then no, or if it is then it will be restricted to games released after now or those they can justify a massive patching session on.
