NES Classic Edition will be restocked this June

For those that didn't get the chance to buy an NES Classic back when it launched in late 2016, Nintendo will be bringing the discontinued NES Classic back for one more run in North America. On June 29, stores will begin carrying the throwback system once more. The NES Classic originally launched in 2016, where shortages plagued customers, and scalpers sold the system at outrageous prices. Nintendo also said that the newer SNES Classic will be sold in stores through the end of this year.

For those in Japan, Shonen Jump will also have a 50th anniversary Famicom console, which will feature games centered around manga series, such as:

  • Captain Tsubasa
  • Captain Tsubasa 2
  • Dragon Ball: Shenron no Nazo
  • Dragon Ball Z: Kyoushuu! Saiyajin
  • Dragon Ball 3: Gokuden
  • Dragon Quest
  • Famicom Jump
  • Famicom Jump 2: Saikyou no Shinchinin
  • Hokuto no Ken
  • Hokuto no Ken 3
  • Kinnikuman: Kinnikusei Our Soudatususen
  • Tag Team Match: Muscle
  • Saint Seyia: Ougon Densetsu
  • Saint Seiya: Ougon Densetsu Kanketsuhen
  • Ankoku Shinwa: Yamato Takeru Densetsu
  • Destiny of an Emperor
  • Sekiryuuou
  • Rokudenashi Blues
  • Magical Taruruto-kun Fantastic World

If you bought this and are wondering why the Switch doesn't have a virtual console I suggest you take a good look at yourself.

Well now that I have the SNES Classic running RetroArch, I'm much less interested in one of these.

I'll probably pick up a couple of the NES style controllers though - hopefully they'll be a little easier to buy than the console. I have no interest in standing in line or trying to snipe pre-orders. I'm too old for that crap.

I have a SNES Classic, dual booting the NES classic. I would like to get my hands on a couple of the controllers though for playing the NES games.

Does anyone know if the NES is going to be a new revision with different games, or an updated menu with the rewind feature?

Already got both NES and SNES classic. They were really easy to find here in Argentina. Usually it's the other way around.
Most official retailers have them, and I paid MSRP price for both of them ^_^

Now I kinda want the famicoms

Great, I'll get one if I can find it. I managed to get a SNES Classic on release and continued to follow the availability. I only came across the opportunity to buy one at MSRP maybe three more times.
