I, personally, love the Piano for all the stuff you could do with it. Especially Grand Pianos. They just sound very menacing, or relaxing depending on the music you’re playing. It can be the lead instrument in a song, or it can be in the background as a supporter. As of my skills right now, I’m barely starting to teach myself hand positions.

I love playing piano too, but my desire is to learn how to play the sax, it sounds so powerful and sexy! Also I love the sound of a twelve string guitar.

I love the Saxophone too because it sounds too smooth. I love Jazz in general.

I play cello, classical guitar, and piano. Have an autoharp that I need to get new strings for (haven't learned to play it yet), and a trumpet that I'd love to learn, but it will upset my neighbours so I can't ever play it :-( And a valve is stuck, anyway.

Out of all of them I love my cello the best. But I hate the C-string, it's too low, I never play it. I'd love to get a viola one day, which is just a bit higher than the cello but not too annoyingly high pitched like the violin. It has its strings tuned in fifths like the cello, which is excellent, because when you figure out a tune, you can simply move up a string and play it with exactly the same fingering if you want to play it in a higher pitch. It just changes the key. As well as getting a viola one day, I'd love to find strings for a guitar that would let me have it tuned in fifths as well (without breaking the guitar or the strings), so I can do the same and move songs up and down without the relationship between the notes changing. Something I like about guitar is that it is in treble clef at least, so it's very easy to find new music to play. The cello is in bass clef so it's really hard to find sheet music for the songs I am looking for. Occasionally I find pieces written for solo bass guitar and can play those. I hardly play the piano anymore, because after learning guitar and cello it is almost boring. Press a button and get a perfect note? No thanks, too boring, too easy.

Wow! That’s talent right there. How many years it took you to learn the instruments? The Cello is one of my favorite instruments right next to the Piano. Used in old Jazz music a lot too. One of my siblings loves the Guitar a lot, that he has basically mastered it by now. And I do agree that finding sheet music for some instruments is hard. Still haven’t found some for mayonnaise...

I love the electric guitar but I'm terrible and have no skill. I still try though. I did make a few good riffs.

ocarina in ocarina of time and in real life march drum

That’s cool. Ocarinas seem fun to mess around with.

Synthesizers.

Still want a microKORG XL

For Electronic music? I love music that slightly uses a mix of both instruments and electronic devices. I just searched the microKORG XL, and that’s too pricey for me... But it does look good! What stuff can you do with it?

I'm slowly trying to learn how to make music in a DAW and I got a Launchpad recently. I don't know if you'd consider that an instrument or not.

I would love to learn how to make music in software like that, but I don’t have any too much patience with all the settings it offers. I do consider a Launchpad an instrument. While not being in the same fashion of others instruments, you still need to press buttons at a time to get the result you were looking for.

Ah, it’s okay! Everybody eventually starts getting good! Hopefully you’ll play better later! :)

French Horn was my all time favorite instrument to play.

I love the sound of French Horns in orchestras!

Post-hardcore.
Synths can be used for EDM but these days, it's all done on computers instead of actual synths.
Post-hardcore still uses synths luckily.

I learned piano for a few years as a teenager, and had a year's lessons on classical guitar, and self taught cello for about 2 years but I'm not very good. When I had some money I couldn't drive so couldn't take lessons (can't really transport a cello on a motorcycle!) and now I can drive I don't have money :-/ When I do have money I want to take lessons and get better! The problem with cello is the instrument itself is so expensive (I got lucky and got mine really cheap) and then lessons as well.... If you find a cheap one definitely get it, it isn't hard to self-teach (but there's a maximum level you can get to without lessons I think).

What's mayonnaise as an instrument?

That's cool!

The Mayonnaise thing was supposed to be a joke, but here:

I'm fond of violin. I can cry like babies listening to a moving piece of music. The violin is one of the most moving instruments I've experienced.

I love the sound of Violin in music, so I can relate
