Hi, i modified my Smash Bros rom to change the stages musics, i was able to extract, edit and rebuid the rom without apparent problems, but when i try to load it on my sky3ds+, i just have a blank icon, like there is no cartridge inserted. Am i doing something wrong, or it isn't supposed to work on sky3ds ?

For the people getting empty .3ds files when using the rebuild 3ds option, try using the 3DSBuilderMod.exe located in the ExtraTools folder. You have to point it to the correct extracted folders and add .3ds to the filename, that worked for me.
Hi there. I'm trying to repack a previously extracted cia file, but I've been having problems.
After using mass extract:
When I try to mass rebuild, the program just closes itself. No prompt or error. I tried renaming the unpacked cia folder but that made mass rebuild just redirect back to the selection menu after a split second.
When I try to specifically rebuild, the program will either say it's done and just leave behind a single empty bin, or leave behind a partition and customromfs.bin.
I'm absolutely unsure of what I need to do to repack this properly. Assistance is appreciated.

Hi! So... I'm trying to translate chase cold case with a patch but I have to decrypt the game in a .cxi file. My game is not the original and I can't decrypt it, so I was using this tool to decrypt a .cia... So anybody can help me? There's no .cxi file inside the .cia decripted and I don's know what to do...

Hi, I would like to rip graphics from a game. The problem is that using your tool on my computer I only manage to extract .bin files, and there are no directories. And I don't know how to read those .bin files to rip files from the game.
Tried with Tales of the Abyss as a .cia :

I'm trying to extract the files of Pokemon Sun/Moon, but the tool doesn't do anything. I have installed it with setup.exe, but even then, every time I try to extract the files, nothing happens. It tells me the extraction worked, with no error message.
Which version are you using? That happens when you use the wrong one. You have to use HackingToolkit3DS or HackingToolkit9DS depending on whether your file is decrypted or encrypted respectively. Quoting myself from a different thread:

No, both versions can handle both .CIA and .3ds files. Try getting a new file to unpack (dump your own or get one from Villain3DS/CIAngel), could just be a bad dump you got.
Same happened with me, but i was using Monster Hunter XX.cia decrypted.
I was trying to patch the Dasding English v3 since there's will not be a better version by now and using Luma3DS to patch is slow to load on some parts, like viewing the guild cards.

Some versions have the repack functions (makerom) broken, check the changelogs to see what is and isn't working. Also, if you already have the game, just use Google to find the CIA of the 1.2 patch+English patch in one (first result on Google right after the patch thread is from me even so despite the shameless plug, it's guaranteed to workSame happened with me, but i was using Monster Hunter XX.cia decrypted.

). Install it over the game and you are good to go. Search "mhxx english patch cia".
For peoples having problems with makerom (dll and other things) try this one.

Do I just drop it in the directory your program reads makerom from or this is for use with user-made scripts?
