The CFG I just upgraded to is from January 2017. What file extension is the memory card file supposed to be? just whatever nmm gives me? If I want to use per game saves do they go in folders named after the game ID's like Devolution?

If it's Nitro's fork from http://cfgusbloader.ntd.homelinux.org/trac/CfgUSBLoader/ it's only using v6 of the Nintendont settings interface. It's currently up to v8.

Individual save paths should be "/saves/TitleID.raw". I think multi is "ninmem.raw".

So where can I get the version of Nintendont I need to work with it and what features will it be missing compared to the newest one? Also do you have answers for my other questions?
using outdated nintendont doesnt seem to be a good choice, since some games will not work.

Hey
I have a black screen when I try to launch a GC injected game...
I have downloaded some GC games with USB helper, I have prepared my SD card (so nintendont and required files are on the card), I have installed games on my wii U, but when I launch them, I have a black screen...

I have a black screen even if I launch nintendont from home menu.

do you have a ninconfig on your sd card? does your injects are built in injects or simply a fowarder for loading isos from the sd? are you running the latest version of nintendont?

do you use rednand?

Is there a program(s) to convert DIOS MIOS's dat & bin to cgi and also the reverse? The program linked in the OP is a GC memcard management tool that doesn't seem to do anything unless you have an actual memory card, my saves are all off my card already and my card is no longer recognized as a usable memory card by my Wii

A question on force progressive, does that mean every PAL game can virtually work in 480p (provided they are compatible with the patch, of course), so there is no advantage over using the NTSC version of a game?

Not all games like it when you force video settings.

But if a game is marked as compatible in the compatibility list, there won't be any problem right? So there's no reason to use, say, F-Zero GX US instaed of F-Zero GX PAL.
Don't trust the list as a lot of people simply booted the game and marked yes if it booted but didn't thoroughly check the game.

its a matter of trial and error some games need like force ntsc video and force 480p others only need force 480p and some dont work with forced stuff.

do you have the correct files on your sd card?

sd:apps/nintendont/boot.dol

probably have an autoboot app and no correct path on the sd card.
