LOL, what the heck were you doing? I bet I could unscrew them even with a knife, don't know how you damaged it...
Maybe you can try making a new "X" by scraping metal a bit deep to be able to unscrew it, that doesnt seem to hard...
Hard was me bolting my dirtbike motor screw and snaped it in 2 pieces deeply inside the motor that nothing could get there lol, they had to solder metal to the screw to be able to remove it.

I learned the hard way too. Invest in a good screwdriver kit

If you take a flathead that is small enough to fit into the shaft of the screw from the top, you can gently drive the head in with a hammer. If the screw is stripped badly enough, it'll be soft enough that you can (GENTLY BUT FIRMLY) hammer the screwdriver tip in and remove it that way. Replace the screw afterwards.

only solutions now would be trying to use some verrrrry pointy brand new plyers, or drill it out. this is what happens when you use the wrong type of screwdriver, cheap screwdrivers that use soft metals or don't torque it properly.

That fucking sucks. Be careful. You always have to make sure that the screwdriver fits perfectly into the screw head, not loose and not too big otherwise this type of shit happens.

Or don't take it apart next time and have a repair shop do it? All this could have been avoided.

They are tiny and screwed really hard and tight and i had a very shitty and used screwdriver. Impossible to unscrew them with a knife lmao

I know your pain. I stripped two of my siderail screws earlier this year. How did you end up removing them?

Try the melted pen trick. Get a lighter, take out the ink reserve from the pen, melt the thinner end of the pen casing, press it to the screw, hold and wait about 10 seconds, pull off and cool it, then try that. should pretty much exactly work. Saved it for me a few times over the years.
This ain't a bad idea. I might try this when I get home.
Clarification, when you say the casing, you're not talking about the ink pen reserve, you're talking about the actual pen piece that you hold, right?

Yes, the "outer shell", or the held part, is what youd be melting, not the ink reserve
