Someone call a cleaner.

Not yet. Ask again after CFWs have been released "this summer". Or better, just see a few months from now if people still talk about HBL.

I have 3.0 homebrew and a handful of actual homebrews to run, I like did all that you can via this entry way.... but with the new release of Fuseeeellleeeeaaa , Id figured that HBL is on its way out. Like everyone would just run Linux instead lol.

But Linux can't run Switch games. What we need to wait for is a CFW that will maybe load homebrews from the home menu like other Switch games.
At that point the Homebrew Launcher itself would be useless.

Never going to happen. :) Most people can be taught to launch apps. Most people can't be taught to use Linux to launch apps. ;)
Unless you are google and do an entire UI overhaul and call it Android... ;)

Applications running on linux on the switch will always be less popular than native applications - also there might be slightly less overhead, running Nintendos OS; or a CFW, than lets say Arch linux or Debian.. ;) But then - maybe not (N reserves some cpu and gpu cycles and ram space for their OS as well).

The "we will run emulators on linux!" idea is mostly a meme (/myth) employed by people who have read the "people sure like to get linux running on those devices" statement a little too ofter, and who somehow have linked Linux with open with "theres our emulators" in their minds. Its always easier to compile "native applications" than to go through an os on top of even more driver/emulation stacks.

edit: Disclaimer: Popularity is not a measure for greatness. And never was. ;)

Right.I feel like its sort of the end of the beginning.

I wonder if the dolphin emulator is running on Linux?
A possibility of multiple type of CFW for different kinds of agendas?

looks like a wii emulator that will emulate the whole system and games and apps. I may be wrong on that but that may also be why its lagging so bad because the switch is trying to run its on os on top of the wii's os.
Adrenalin on vita works the same. It just needs a bit more debugging :D (if it is real at all)
