Hello,

I want to transfer my cfw'd O3DS to a N3DS but that 3DS already has user files on it like saves, photos and games. How do I swap the data of those two?

I also would like to transfer my CFW to the N3DS and the settings and homebrew. And of course the normal user settings on my O3DS. But the problem is, how do I transfer the files to the N3DS without losing the files already on there?

Thanks for the help,
Gladuin

When you do a system transfer it will merge with games already on there (if no NNID) or if you have an NNID you will be forced to do a system format and lose all your data. The only way to save your data is to do a system transfer to another N3DS before you do the system transfer from the old 3DS.

But if you want to save the files on the N3DS, why do you even want to transfer from the old 3DS? Either you want the N3DS files to stay or you want the O3DS files on your N3DS - you can't have both at once.

Hmmm I could also backup my saves, format / unlink the nnid using gm9 and then transfer the N3DS files on the O3DS and then hack the N3DS and then restore my saves.

But is there maybe a way I can backup other data like MiiPark, 3DS and NDS profile, MiiMaker and settings?

No, you can't transfer from O3DS->N3DS.

You can't transfer N3DS->O3DS. The only way you can swap consoles is for the person with the O3DS to buy an N3DS, and buy another spare N3DS and do the following:
  1. Person 1 transfer O3DS to the spare N3DS
  2. Person 2 transfer their N3DS to the N3DS owned by person 1
  3. Wait 7 days
  4. Person 1 transfer the spare N3DS to Person 2's N3DS
You will need in total: the O3DS, the N3DS that person 1 wants to have person 2's data on, a spare N3DS can be owned by either person, and the N3DS belonging to person 2. 1 O3DS and 3 N3DS consoles.
