Even though I got Xbox One, Ps4, Switch and a decent gaming PC, for some reason I play with my 3ds faaar more than I play any of the other systems, to be honest I've been playing with the 3ds and haven't touched the others since Christmas...

There are so many games on my to-play-list that I believe I'll still be playing it years from now. Then there's a few DS games I have to play too. I never get rid of consoles or handhelds either, one day I will have played and finished the games on my list, would be fun to dig this thread up then and make a comment "Nope". 2021 maybe.

As a pilot, I have quite a lot of downtime hanging out at the airport, always have my 3ds on me to kill the downtime. Wish streetpass relay stations didn't die. Also I've only seen one switch in the wild... think people are too afraid to bring them out.

I do since the switch doesn't have pokemon and some other game series yet it also does not have backward compatibility so you will still need to play your 3ds anyways to play the older games. Which is why I think the 3ds is still alive and won't be discontinued anytime soon.
Yes i play it becaus on the switch ther Aren't pokemon games

got one end of 2011... sold out of disappointment in summer 2012... (strangely on the day the XL was announced)

picked an n3DSXL used with smash and MM3D for solid price. a damn good backlog of games but not as epic as the DS. I wish they continued support for longer... even if it was gamecube ports I'd be happy

Yes, it's my main console. I don't have Switch and PC gaming is imho untinteresting. Hec, because i prefer DS ergonomy wise (size, buttons... that shit) i even jump lower on the line to play some DS games.

Honestly yes, it takes me almost a month to finish one game and yeah, theres a lot games to play! So the answer is Yes! Even though i have a playstation, this little wonder is my daily partner everwhere i go. Plus with all the virtual consoles, emulators, partner it with A controller through Input Redirection for some intense gaming sessions.
I just want to finish games with story line before i focus in unending games like monster hunter, story of seasons, etc.

What are you talking about, I'm still working on my Dsi XL backlog so i've not even started on my 3ds backlog.
Currently playing
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow to be followed by Portrait of Ruin and then Order of Eclessia. then a few Dragon's quests and Avalon Code.
and then MAYBE i'll start on my 3ds library.

Done with Detective Pikachu, and now playing DQ 8 with NTR cheats (speed walk, extra EXP, extra gold). Will probably end up finishing the story OR recruiting the two optional party members...

The Switch is a bit expensive for my liking. I really don't want to lose/break a $300+ system.

Don't forget that the Switch optimally only lasts for... wha,t 2-3 hours on an intensive game? whereas the New or even older 3/2DS's can last up to 6-8 hours. Even now, I really only got my switch for BoTW and the game is very fun, but I'm already regretting letting the hype get to me. And yeah, I have a huge backlog of 3DS games I haven't even so much as touched. I mean just look at the 3DS at launch and what it is now -> normal release to "New Nintendo 3DS" with it's fancy bumpers, it's looking good. And that backward-compatibility with DS games, mm... something even Sony hasn't implemented with the ps4 surprisingly :P
