I just bought a new 3DS XL and did a system transfer for DSiWareHax. Not only was my DSiware not transferred, but the console ban of my old 3DS XL was transferred to my new 3DS XL. Both didn't have an NNID, so I can still access eShop...but now I can't even make a new NNID for either console.

How do I get rid of this stupid 022-2812 error? I bought a new 3DS so I wouldn't have this problem.

Okay, yet you ignore all my other questions outright...:wink:
It wasn't meant to be malicious. I can't answer your other questions. I wish I could, but I don't know the answers.

I'm using the seedminer method to install CFW and am at the point where I have to run the actual program. My computer is giving me an error every time I do. I've already dumped the file and my executable looks like "seedminer_launcher.py cpu". Originally, the computer I was running it on wasn't compatible with it, so I transferred it to one that did. It gave me the error and I do have python on both computers. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Ok gonna make this as short as I can:
I got a new R4i+ gold 3ds/ds card, I'm trying to set it up to work with my system. I've had a ds two card before when I had my dsi but that card is currently mia. Believe me I wish it wasn't!!.

-new 3DS 11.6.0-39U (the images for the walkthrough is 11.6.0-39-J)
-follow directions get files.
-safeB9 .firm extract to root
-rename said .firm to boot.firm
-extract "starter" to root
-create b9s file
-b9s.zip extracted to b9s file.
-sd back into deck
-flip r4 to N (for ntr option)
-insert r4 card
-turn deck on
-magnet it to sleep
-hold start+select+x+power for "several seconds"
-release and system will boot the safeb9.

Now that wasn't working and I saw a tip saying start with the system turned off. Hold the keys then just tap the power button, wait "several seconds" and let up on everything. All that seems to be doing is turning on my device.

questions:
Do we leave the magnet there when we release? Or take it?
How long is "several seconds"? I would think with as many numbers as gamers have to deal with we could count a few seconds. That step of the process is extremely vague so I've been using 6 as 13 was too long and the deck would shut off.

Results:
My 3ds keeps shutting down (at a 6 count and a 13 count.) Here's my deck's SD card
upload_2018-4-4_3-45-52.png

So any help anyone could give me I'd really like it. This would be so much easier if my old ds two cards hadn't come up missing under "mysterious circumstances".

*Lemony Snicket walks in* "Mysterious circumstances" a phrased when used here means she strongly suspects the newest member of her household. Though she has no proof and therefore only makes insinuating remarks aimed at making the believed guilty party feel bad. In a vain attempt to make them confess and return the property, but this is not that kind of story.

Is the console starting up into the home menu or into sleep mode? If it boots the home menu that means the magnet is not in the right place.

Yea the magnet usage is pretty vague as well... So since I've been doing this two ways let me answer both ways.

Option 1:
-Game deck on
-Use magnet to sleep
-Press buttons
-wait
-release, leaving magnet there
-nothing happens

Option 2:
-Game deck on
-Use magnet to sleep
-Press buttons
-wait
-release, taking away the magnet
-the system comes back as if from a normal sleep

Option 3:
-Game deck off
-Place magnet to sleep
-Press buttons *tapping power only*
-wait
-release, leaving magnet there
-lights come on the screen stays black
-remove magnet deck is normal boot

Option 4:
-Game deck off
-Place magnet to sleep
-Press buttons *tapping power only*
-wait to count of 9
-release, taking the magnet
-passes out from success

Thanks. Instructions were way too vague.

Back again... most likely again something simple.

Finished all instruction, last steps leading to new issue:
-Back up SysNAND
-eject SD
-save backups
-insert SD
-clean up SD successful
-press start for deck restart
-deck shuts off
-attempt to power on
-power light comes on and goes right back off
-plug into charger
-wait several mins
-press power button, the light comes on then goes right back off

if the led turns on and off, it means it cannot find boot.firm on the root of the sd card
this can be due to many reasons
  • do you have boot.firm on sd root?
  • is the sd properly inserted in the 3ds?
  • do you have file extensions enabled (so that it isn't boot.firm.firm)?
  • did you use 7zip to extract the luma 7z release archive?
  • is the sd card fat32?

Firstly thank you for the quick response!! Second, doesn't part of the setup process take that out of the equation?

In any, event this is a screenshot of the current deck SD card I'm running.

ALSO!!! It's the blue power light on the deck not the screens, nothing else lights up at all.

Hello. I have a old 3ds in version 9.5.0-22U.
I want to install freeshop on it.
Should I upgrade-it to 11.6.0-39 (latest version) before doing anything?

So my sons o3ds has cfw, Luma . I have a New 3ds on current firmware, with the RPWNG entry still working (unstable as it gets) .I was wondering if there was a way to install cfw on this new one without a system transfer. From what I understand, the transfer will also carry over his NNID .I don't really want to lose my account on it. My question is this, Using homebrew, would I be able to install CFW on the N3DS? I didn't see it mentioned as an option in the guide.

You can get a compatible DSiWare game on the N3DS and install CFW on it using Seedminer
You may even have a compatible DSiWare game already

Update: If I do the steps for the start+select+x then tap the power, the blue power light comes on longer.

Does CTRTransfer keep my user information? (name, friend code, birthday, Wi-Fi settings...)
If not, how can I backup and restore my user info?
I don't understand well about ctrtransfer. But maybe I have to do this.
Because my emunand has been broken and unbootable.

Problem: When trying to launch the homebrew launcher from the download and play app through Rosalina I get an error: prefetch abort (svcBreak), current process: loader (0000000000000) Processor:ARM11 (core1)

Total Noob here. I followed the guide at 3ds.hacks.guide and put custom firmware on my 2DS running 11.6.039U. I had everything up and running, was able to inject custom GBA VC games and was playing games. I took the SD card out to put more games on it and it got corrupted somehow. The system still boots and I can play from the cartridge just fine. When I boot holding start I still have Godmode 9 v1.6.1, and when holding select I have luma v9.0. I tried putting all the files listed on the finishing setup step back on my SD card but I can't launch the homebrew launcher through Rosalina, so I can't launch FBI so I am missing out on the sweet sweet GBA VC injections. I have confirmed that hblauncher_loader.cia is at /cias/ on the console's SD card. I have spent the last several hours looking for a solution to this issue but I can't seem to find one. Once I get a stable SD card I will image it for sure this time. Any ideas?

Mine said that this morning sometime, I have a win 10 so I let it attempt to repair the card. It didn't erase anything and I was able to get back on track quickly.
